The whole Dench narration is almost an insult to the entire concept of SSE. It is a watered-down, dumb-down version of both its predecessors. I did hear the Irons narration yesterday on the requested channel and remembered how good a job he did. Too bad they can’t have him re-do it….

Amen. I would have loved to have seen (or I guess heard) Jeremy Irons do a NEW script that actually was intellectually put together and not "dumbed down". I realize that would be against our society's ways, but hey, some of us do prefer to be taught something on vacation or be listening to something that seems to be aimed towards our intelligence levels. I know a more intelligent piece would probably narrow the scope of the attraction because some of the demographics would not be able to get a good grasp on the script (younger kids), but if you are going to have an educationally focused ride, please do some educating with some sophistication! For this reason, I hope they don't update Ellen's Energy Adventure anytime soon....but then again, it is really dated and some of the "educational" information in it are outdated. Sorry for the rant!

Frankly, I don't care who gave that current script to, it would still come off like crap. No one could save that narration, so I don't blame Judi Dench for it.
