WDW Refillable Mug Cost Increase

I did think they were more expensive, but so is everything in wdw

Last time I went they were the Million dreams ones. I will be there in a few weeks and can let you know.

When we went this past May, the mugs had changed. They are no longer using the Year of Million Dreams mugs. They've changed them to characters. We chose Mickey, of course.

I'm wondering if you could get away with using the old mugs though???

Are they all the same mugs for everything now? Can you still get different mugs from the various park and resorts?

I got five different mugs. I like to collect different ones as I go.

Jacca, the mugs to me are now generic, they are the same at all of the resorts whereas in the past, each resort had a different mug, themed to that resort. They started with the Year of a Million Dreams mugs, all resorts are now the same.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. I miss collecting different mugs.

I dislike so much that Disney has tried to do everything on the cheap!! It was nicer when you could get a distinctive mug from your resort.

We buy one each trip. Dh gets his am coffee and I get my afternoon frozen cokes at Pop!

Last time I went they had phased out most of the individual mugs from the different resorts and went with a single style, which was a mistake in my eyes. It was nice to have a mug from your resort as a souvenier. I have reused them when I've gone more than once in a year and never had a problem (even right after they did the switchover). I can't see them really saying anything if they even notice, but I still like to get a new one every year I'm there. I hear they are included in the dining plan now, so if you get that it won't matter.

Thanks for the update, boilerbabe! I'll have to ask my family to buy me one as a souvenir. I really wish they were still themed with the resorts though. That was always so fun!
