Well the other polls are particularly difficult to answer such as the Fireworks and Pre 1980 film thread, but this one is a straight forward answer. MK in the day is a fabulous place, I can't imagine not seeing Main Street on a regular basis but the way the place looks when it's lit up is simply breathtaking. The whole park takes on a new atmosphere that you simply can't beat..... unless you head to world showcase that is :D
1980, 2000, 2005 and 2008 all had plenty of magic. Hoping for a bit more in 2010.

I gotta go with night. Perhaps because we are so used to seeing it in the day the nighttime just does seem more magical. And the fact that the sun isn't blasing down on you helps too!

Yeah Tomorrowland is pretty neat at night, but how can you not like the Main Street Cinema marquee? That has to be one of my favorite things to see at night.

Well said. I love them both but it truly IS another park at night. So many things look different and, dare I say, sometimes even more beautiful. I prefer night. Not only for the sights and sounds, but it's not as hot. But as I said in a previous post, it's kind of sad as well because you know the night will be ending soon once the lights come on.

I voted for the night as well ~ I love all the lights from Main Street. Also, catching the fireworks while riding big thunder was a bonus on our last trip.

Day time you see everything even the flaws, Night time you only see what they want you to see. This phrase puts it best for me. I prefer the night time because that is when Disney has the ability to truly tell a story.

Night for 2 reasons:
1. It looks nicer and who can beat SpectroMagic

2. When you go in the summer, it is cooler so you can walk around without sweating.

Not to sound wishy washy but I actually love it at dusk. As day turns into night. The night lighting is just coming up on the attractions but there is still enough natural light that you can still see everything. I think that is the best time in all the parks.

Yes I agree with you kcarts. Dusk is nice because it isn't so hot out, and it also creates some great pictures around the park. I would vote that if that was an option as I can't decide what I like better right now

Ok, where are the comments from those who voted for day? I also said night, but I read through these posts hoping to hear a counterargument for why day is better. Anyone?!

I don't think you are going to get many counterpoints on this one. It's just a personal preference.

Another vote for night here. Everything just seems better. The lights, the atmosphere, just the general feeling. Love EMH!!

Nighttime here too!

I loved walking up Main Street and seeing all the lighted signs and store fronts.
