I agree with the sentiment that Magic Carpet is just like Dumbo and redundant.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

While Aladdin is a theme killer in AL and MILF is a minor offender in the killing of theme in TL for me (I say minor because it's not exactly flashy or in your face as Aladdin is) and even though Stitch is sooo bad... I went with The TL Speedway ("Autopia" even though that's DL). Why? Because it's all of the above AND it takes up MASSIVE space. Gosh put in some sweet Fantasy Land/TL stuff!

Actually, the redundancy is a good thing for some people... If people want a ride like Dumbo, but do not want to wait for 2 hours, then they can well assured the line is much shorter not far away.
That is great for parents with small kids. Most likely they will like the magic carpets just as well.

Of course, I have never ridden either, so it is just conjecture from me.

I don't have kids so I can't speak from experience, but I hafta wonder how well that would work for children. If your little ones see Dumbo, will they be satisfied with Carpets? Or vice versa? I guess if you're not going into Fantasyland at all, that might work for you. I dunno. I don't know where I stand on the redundancy issue, but I do think using the same ride design was on the lazy side. On the other hand, Astro Orbiter is the same idea too, but it gets a pass from me because it's up high.

You should try the Carpets if the line is short enough, though. Like most things in AL, it's better at night. I'd say try Dumbo at least once, but I wouldn't go through the line again so I can't encourage anyone else to.

I don't have kids, though my brother and his wife took thier son (my nephew for his first ride ever on his first trip ever to Disney on Dumbo. He was 7 or 7 months old, so he won't remember, but he liked it while he was on it, LOL.

Personally, I am terribly afraid of heights, so I usually don't enjoy those kind of rides. That, as much as the lines, are why I have not ridden either of them. And no, I have not ridden the Astro Orbiter either. :)

I love the TTA, though I try not to look down, just out. :) (One of my favorite rides in MK!!)

Poor kid's gonna end up like me. My mom's always saying "D'you remember when we (did something or other when I was 2)?" and I always say no. Then she gets annoyed.

Ah, I getcha. Avoiding those if you're afraid of heights is probably a good idea (esp. the orbiter; I'm not afraid of heights and that one's a bit high even for me, lol). TTA rocks, though. :)

Well, my nephew's parents like Disney, but they are not as obsessed with it as I am. :) They are just as apt to ask him if he remembers the trip we took after that down to beaches near Charleston, SC. :)

You know what the worst part of being afraid of heights is the love/hate relationship I have with the monorail.

I *LOVE* the monorail like Elvis loves banana and peanut butter, but since I am afraid of heights, it also makes me very nervous to be in it, and when it starts rocking a little with wind or high speed, I get even more nervous- but I love the spiel, and the views are great, so it is so wierd for me to ride the monorail, but I do- several times every time I go, afraid or not.

This isn't even a contest. Stitch is taking it easily. Tomorrowland isn't doing so well overall with Stitch, Laugh Floor and Autopia.

I'm the youngest of 6 and I always get that question at family gatherings. Yes of course I remember when I was still in diapers, I was 18 months old, It's so clear to me, I remember it like was yesterday! That's right you're getting to age where 45 or 50 years ago is easier to remember then yesterday! You don't realize how fast you can end a conversation!

I voted for Country Bears Jamboree, with Swiss Family Treehouse a very close second. I've seen both versions of CBJ and like the Christmas version better than the regular one, but that's not saying much...too weird for my taste. I've only been through Swiss Family Treehouse once druing my first visit and that was plenty to last for every visit after!

I voted for the hall of president. It doesn't fit the Magic Kingdoms theme. I also hardly ever visit that attraction!

I disagree with this totally. One of the big things in the MK is Americana. It's one of the things Walt was trying to show to the world. I feel it's a mainstay of the MK.

What does Alladin have to do with Adventureland anyways. Move it to Fantasyland
