My wife and I spent our honeymoon at WDW at the Buena Vista Palace in 1984. 25 years, 2 teenagers and approximately 70-80 trips later we are still going strong.

I was toying with the idea of proposing to my fiancee at WDW, but my sister and brother-in-law got engaged during Wishes and honeymooned down there, and I wanted to come up with something new. But it was in my mind!

I got engaged inside the stretching room at the Haunted Mansion.

Almost two years later (Oct. 08) we were married at The American Adventure Rotunda, Epcot and had the reception at The Living Seas Salon.
It was such an incredible experience and would recommend a Disney wedding to anyone. The service was amazing!!!

We stayed at the Poly for our honeymoon too!

My original idea was to get married at WDW, on the beach, but it ended up being too expensive. But as a tribute to my original idea, I still wore the "bridal sandals" (sqequened flip-flops) when I did get married.
And semi-ironically, we ended up honeymooning at a Universal hotel- it was a very abridged honeymoon (our real honeymoon was like 6 months later) of one day at the one of the Universal parks.

Funny how this thread died and just got revived.

Our honeymoon was in Feb 2003. Stayed at the Howard Johnson's in the "Hotels of the Disney Village" which I believe is under refurbishment as a Holiday Inn.

Since then we have been back many times and still find new things to experience every visit.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

I believe there was a thread on how to post pics. I can't explain it! I'm computer impaired. It's not hard though if I can do it! Do a "search" on how to post pics. you should be able to find the tread that way!

I am not sure of a thread about it, but I would suggest using a free website called photobucket.com It should take you through it step by step.

Not only did we honeymoon at WDW, but on our 12 year anniversary we took the kids. I lied and told them we were going to "the lake" two hours away. By the time it got dark outside, they realized the lake was long overdue! My wife and I finally told them when we pulled in to a motel for the night. They couldn't believe their ears. It was the time of their lives

What a sweet story about your kids! I bet a surprise Disney trip would be a blast for someone at any age.

Thanks boilerbabe and figmentaholic ~ I will look into it and see how it goes. If (and when) they work, I'll post a few here. :D
