I'm the same way, Soarin', except my specific problem is I don't like being "spun" upside down. I'm not really claustrophobic, but some spaces do bother me. Spaceship Earth absolutely freaked me out in 2007 during the ascent portion. Heights don't bother me, but I kept thinking about the fact that I was going up into the "golf ball," and I felt trapped. I didn't enjoy the experience one bit. So I know if that bothered me, M:S is a bad idea for me.
Spaceship Earth made you feel trapped? That's a new one. I think I might give the non-spinning M:S a go, just to see exactly what it's like. As for the intense version.... I'll die without ever riding it.

for what it's worth, my 6year old scrawny son rode the non spinning side, loved it, and rode it two more times. the orange? i think side, the "weak" side, is just that, weak.

they should have green be the spinning side, since it made my face turn green, lol. that would be easier to remember.

Mission Space is a good ride. I can say we do skip it often as I am the only one in the family who will ride it:( If I had to choose Horizions was better!

I've had that happen to me once or twice when we're at the moon to earth scene at the very top and you can actually make out the triangular skin of the dome as you look up at the "space" scene. That's when all of a sudden I'd be like "Whoa we're really at the top of this ball" and for whatever reason it would give me an unsettled feeling.

As for everyone fearing orange side due to "spinning" you don't even realize you're spinning. If you're claustrophobic then don't go on, but if you're afraid of spinning I'm not sure it'd be an auto-skip for me. As long as you keep your head back and focused on the screen there's really not even the sensation of spinning. If you get easily motion sick then yes avoid the ride but don't expect a tea-cup like experience. It's essentially a Star Tours/Body Wars type ride but with your own personal screen. The ride does spin, but you don't feel like you're spinning, you just experience the negative G's.

actually...those are positive G's ;) Negative G's are rare in ride because they are even less tolerated than normal G forces... Negative G's involve falling FASTER than gravity

like Tower of Terror... Negative G's are when you are weightless. Positive G's are when you feel heavier...
