Wilderness Lodge for me! I've visited the others but never stayed there. I'd like to stay at the Poly and the Contemporary some day, but the theme at WL appeals to me the most.

Love the Wilderness Lodge.
The Contemporary is great.
Grand Floridian is over rated.
Don't like the Poly at all.

OKW isn't a MK resort. it's closer to EPCOT/DTD.

My vote is Ft. Wilderness (yes, I realize it's a campground and not a traditional resort). It's the first place I've stayed OP, and served us well for a "place to lay our heads" and take a shower. the whole purpose of the trip is to visit the parks, so FT. Wilderness gets my vote...

Mine didn't make this list. I love the Swan. It's close to EPCOT, just a boat ride away from MGM (yea I know. It's always going to be MGM in my book), a walk away from the boardwalk, and in my opinion has the best hotel bars in WDW.

I know it's not a true Disney resort. I think one of my other attractions to the Swan (and Dolphin) is it was such a stick in Eisner's side! He wanted dunes built in EPCOT so he could see it. Also some of my best Disney memories are associated with it.

well, there's only 1 reason why the Swan didn't make this list, and you said it within the same post:

this thread is about MAGIC KINGDOM resorts, not EPCOT resorts or WDW resorts.

Grand Floridian. It is just so beautiful and I love Some Like it Hot. I've never been to Fort Wilderness so I admit that my vote may need to be disqualified, lol.

Haven't stayed there yet, but there's something about the Polynesian that my wife and I love!

I haven't stayed at any of these, but absolutely love the grandiose scale of the WL. Every time we make our way over there to eat at Whispering Canyon, the amazing-looking pool and great theming in the lobby make me want to book a stay there immediately. However, my dream vacation is an extended stay at the Poly....something about being so close to all of the action, and just a stop away from the MK on the monorail is so appealing to me.

My vote is for WL. The lobby is great. Wonderful themeing. Great for families and is the best value of the MK resorts.

I have to say contemporary.

And I like people who don't like it. Makes it easier for me to get a park view in the main tower. And if they can't see the spaceport theme, it's even better.

Besides, nothing as romantic as taking your princess out on your balcony with the Holiday Wishes show going on on your anniversary night. (Except staying in the castle, but who can afford that?) Just like the fireworks are for you two alone, and with the holiday version, you can see the whole thing including the fireworks going on outside the park!

But major drawback to all of those resorts? the water is Sulfur Soup!

It's definitely Wilderness Lodge for me! If fact, I love it so much that we bought our first DVC there sight unseen. Well, the Villas part was sight unseen, not the lodge! Second place would be the Beach Club, and that is our second DVC home. Animal Kingdom Lodge is third, but would be second if it was in walking distance to Epcot, like BCV is. :D
