Smithereens at Epcot
Last Night (Oct 10th) I was at Epcot for the Food and Wine Festival but also to see the FREE Concert by the 80's group The Smithereens. They are playing again Saturday and Sunday. There are 3 half hour shows and the playlists differ each show. I stayed for all three! They played all of their old hits: A Girl Like You, Only A Memory, and Blood and Roses, as well as some new songs. They sounded FANTASTIC and they even did meet and greets after each set and took pictures with everyone and signed autographs. If you are a fan of this group. This is not to be missed!

Oh darn, I like Sister Hazel, I had the opportunity to hear them when they were still a garage band and nobody outside of Gainesville had heard of them. I go to their shows everytime they are in town.

I really wanted to go to the "Eat to the Beat" concert series, or just the Food and Wine Festival in general. I especially want to see Sister Hazel, but since the fall is the absolute busiest time of my year, I don't see that happening in the foreseeable future...

Yeah, this was good stuff when I was there a few years ago ... saw Three Dog Night and Chubby Checker myself, those were awesome. Was also disappointed to miss the Beach Boys by maybe two days, but a couple years later saw them at school. The music is one of the best parts of the food and wine festival ... particularly watching it with a nice cup of choup.

there is a complete lsit of acts at www.waltdisneyworld.com. Just go to epcot and then to special events. I have seen a few good acts throughout the years there. The Temptations, and Taylor Dayne. Even during the year there are some rpetty good performances there. I rememebr thats where i fell in love with BLAST! and Barrage. Does anyone have audio of Barrage? I noticed there is none on here. They are a fiddle/violin group, mostly irish type and they danced. It was incredible!
"hold on to them hats and glasses, cause this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!!"
