It does need a little help, but I went for the first time in many years on our last trip and it was a blast! Super cheesy, but the history and nostalgia make it fantastic. Thanks for the unofficial news, sounds like nothing drastic is changing.

I really hope they bring back the Christmas show so I can see it in December this year!

I must say that the CBJ was never my favorite cup of tea but it was the only attraction out in frontier land that offered an A/C equipped waiting area. I do admit to taking brief naps in the back row of the theater.

Well for the last year (maybe two) they haven't do the christmas show. They just left it as normal.
Yeah, I remember having read that, now. It's really a shame. I liked the Christmas show.

My wife agrees with you. She last year she was like "Oh we can't miss the country bears holiday show." She was disappointed after she asked the CM at the door which show was playing (because I told her I didn't think they where doing it anymore.)

As much as I like the Christmas show, I'd much rather they closed for a thorough refurb of the normal show first. Those bears are in a sorry state, and as others have mentioned, the last time I was in there the audio was atrocious.

If they get them back up to snuff this year, maybe we'll be able to get the Christmas show next year. Seems to me at the moment if they tried to put and Christmas stuff on some of them, they'd crumble to dust.

I don't think they should get rid of the show - it's a historical ride just like carousel of progress. It has been updated in the past - so as long as it's done tastefully I can't see a problem with it. The show doesn't drawn in alot of people, but also doesn't take up alot of room? I just hope they don't up-date it like they did tiki room.

I've never seen the country bears and since its now gone from disneyland, I was looking forward to actually seeing it after somehow skipping it for decades. now once again I won't be seeing it.. disapointing.

I love this attraction and have done since i first went in 1986. I does need a spring clean and things do need to be changed. I hope they put the christmas version in so I can see that as have never seen that version.

As not happy as I am that it's going to be closed during my trip, the bears really needed it on my last trip. I remember one bear's eyebrow malfunctioned and just hung over his eye the whole time, it was kinda creepy lol. I did enjoy the show though, and had been hoping to see it again this trip, but I guess I'll find something else to do. :)

I just hope it doesn't become the country bears 'under new management.'

Or the country bears sing High School Musical

I'm 99% sure I don't care. I loved the show when I was little but nowadays I pass it up. Everyone says it a classic so I might as well visit it when I go, before it's rehab.
