If you were referring to Alien Encounter, then no I don't think that was a breach of theming. First let me say taht I'm a fan of the retro-tomorrowland only because Future World is right down the road (DL would be a different story). That being said, aliens, such as ther alien from alien encounter were part of this sci-fi genre. The attraction also fit the theme of Tomorrowland much better too by using the backstory of an alien race trying to sell futuristic transportation technology. The attraction itself may not have belonged in Disney at all, but the theming was spot on.
I really liked the idea of the Tomorrowland Causeway being a showcase for inventors and their futuristic technologies. It was almost like an intergalactic world's fair or, even better, the EPCOT Center of the distant future.
