What part of disney drives you crazy?

Post by parkhopper26 » May Sat 24, 2008 12:49 pm

In a recent post I was writing about a very long wait to get into test track when it first opened. while reliving the experience in my mind i suddenly remembered how very loud & annoying the queue muisc was and it made the wait almost unbearable (don't know if the music is still the same but the music i am referring to had a very loud, "machine"-like techno beat). This trip down memory lane got me wondering if anyone else had any other similar experiences in the parks or resorts. I love wdw but this was one part of epcot that just didn't work for me.

The only thing that I don't really care for are the transportation options sometimes. For instance, I was trying to get to the AKL from AK and the only ways to get there was to take the bus or drive your car. I wouldn't mind if they shortened the queue lines too!

The incredibly long line at the Boardwalk Bakery if you don't get there before 7AM. They need to do something to help keep the line moving. It's a decent (and only) option for a quick bite and coffee on the Boardwalk. Somedays, by the time you get to the front of the line, it's time for lunch.

I would have to agree with Parkhopper26, the music for the test track is super annoying! When we there this past Oct. we had to wait a bit for that ride and my cousin pointed out how annoyed he was by the music. It gets very old after a short time! Nothing else really comes to mind.

Toooooo many foreigners. I love when you are watching a parade and people come at the last minute and try and squeeze in front of you. Or you get the group of people that want to cut past you in line to get with the rest of their party because they were at the bathroom.

The hypocritical nature of managers seen working at an attraction, but not in the proper costume, yet will yell at whomever is not in character.

Makes no sense to walk around the queue of Haunted Mansion to see a manager in a suit working--it seems so out of place.

I can't stand the people who try to squeeze in front of you at parades because they didn't get there in time. I'm like 5'11(yes I know tall for a girl) and if there is a child behind me I will always let them in front of me regardless. But when you shove your child in front of me assuming I will let them in, then that makes me mad. I thin I have to agree more with boilerbabe. It drives me crazy when you have a large party and one of the members gets in line while the others use the bathroom and then they come back and have to squeeze in.

Center-aisle stoppers. Nothing irritates me more than when the announcer CLEARLY states "move all the way down the aisle, filling all available seats. Then, someone believes "I'm getting the BEST SEAT" and sits right in the middle and makes everyone walk over them.

(My wife always "accidentally" steps on their foot, or something. "Oohhh, I'm sorry!")

I can't stand when people STILL take pictures of rides/movies when they were clearly told, no flash photography aka Pirates/Haunted Mansion. And I think it was on here that I heard someone took a picture of the Soarin' Screen..uhhh
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

Someone took a picture while on Soarin?! Wow. haha. Why bother?

I also forgot that I can't stand when people in wheel chairs or strollers constantly run me over. Now I know it's difficult to navigate through the parks but when they do it in a rush or do it on purpose or even do it without acknowledging or saying sorry I get agitated.

Mine definitely has to be the people that feel the need to talk with, or even worse, OVER the pre-show or safety spiels.

Yes, I love Disney too, and, yes, I have also been on HM 1,000 times and know it word for word, but there are probably some first time guests here that would like to hear the wonderful work that X did! Not your poor imitation.

I'll second (or third) the notion that the Test Track music loop gets old really quick. My peave is when Disney lets things get into a state of disrepair. I think everyone understands that RC is closed for good, so why can't they just tear it down and not let it just sit and rot at the edge of the lake. It's an absolute eye sore if you happen to see it. Thankfully plans are in motion to rebuild the Treehouses, because they were looking pretty sad too (and that's something you can't help but see on a boat ride to DTD).
