That was a great night to work! The fireworks were shown on the 3rd and 4th.meticulus9 wrote:from someone whos done something similar:
1) was in MK for 4th of july in 05. it was packed to the brim and it got closed. Epcot did not, but epcot handles crowds the best out of the 4 parks. most big name attractions have high capacity there. MK is more popular with the kiddies. (but i did miss the special ROE). ROE is much better than socery in the sky. I would recommend EP instead of DHS.
On the 3rd I was assigned randomed jobs in tomorrowland...the computer kept telling me to do buckets so I just watched the fireworks.
It was so packed

Well, I will be in Hollywood Studios on the 4th. We decided to plan out our day including a dinner reservation in the park so I hope it does not fill up. I guess it is off the plane and into the park as fast as you can to not get closed out.

July 4th not that bad
We have spent the past 2 summers at Disney World during the July 4th holiday. It is busy but not impossible. People are nice. We are ll there for the same reason--to be happy. The fireworks from the porch of Narcossees are spectacular!

I think I would get a room at the Swan or Dolphin and watch them from thereGhostHost wrote:Although I would LOVE to see the fireworks at Epcot during July 4th, I just don't think I could stand the crowd and crazy atmosphere. I'm so used to going when it's not crowded that I'm kind of spoiled in that way.

Thanks for asking the CMs for me!I also spoke to a couple diff cast memeber about feasabilty (most thought it was doable but very tight- one thought it wouldnt be).
There's going to be about 30-45 minutes between the ending of "Sorcery in July"

I think I'm going to go through with the plan and see mgm's display from the park exit end of Hollywood blvd. and then walk to epcot. The only thing is that I'm not sure if the entance turnstiles will be closed by that time of night. If they are I'm sure we can watch them from somewhere on the boardwalk. Thanks for all the feedback everyone!

Good luck with that. I will be happy and settle for just the MGM Sorcery in the Sky. I'll probably hang around mid Hollywood Blvd. You gotta love the mad dash that will happen after it is over!
