International shipping is pretty expensive. $100 insurance would be a lot, but in this case it'd be a combination of the insurance and the shipping/packaging costs. It'd also depend on what shipper they used; I know UPS international shipping can be extremely expensive.
I think it sounds like a lot but I'd be surprised if they were really shooting way over the actual cost of it, no matter how much Disney likes to overcharge for things. If it doesn't actually include insurance then I'd be a lot more annoyed about paying the full cost of something just to ship it, especially if I got dinged for the duty on it then, too.

I do this after each trip. I never have enough room in all those suitcases after I shop til I drop. It does take close to 3 weeks to get your order, but the good things is, if something happens to the merchandise during shipping, it is on Disney.rdeacon wrote:Have no fear you can always order WDW merchandise from home!!
This will save you the mark-up that laughingplace.com will charge.
Alot of people don't know that Disney has a mail order option. Here is the info:
Telephone: 407-363-6200
Fax: 407-352-6369
Email: wdw.mail.order@disneyworld.com
I would call the number. I have used them in the past and they provide excellent service. You just need to provide them with a description of the merchandise and they can look it up. Of course the more details you provide the better chance they have in finding it. I have gotten park exclusive merchandise this way. It also great for getting that gift you are kicking yourself that you didn't get.![]()
