I've also thought about them moving it to epcot. I'm not sure exactly how big it is, but think the area between future world and world showcase where the two girft shops are would be a cool place. It may also give the park a new weenie to look at walking down the main stretch from Innoventions. Although, I'm not really sure it would fit. Maybe I'll compare the sizes on google earth one of these days.Where would they put COP in Epcot Center? in the WOL area?

But you didn't complete the timeline! And then, they shut down "America Sings," moved all of the critters over to Splash Mountain to pretend like they belonged there with Brer Rabit, and put the supremely sucky "Innoventions" in the COP building during the great 1990s Tomorrowland Downgrad-er-"Rehab."js3901 wrote:I know that CoP was originally built for the 1964 world's Fair (at least in part) and from there, moved to Disneyland in 1967. After that, it was closed in Disneland and made into America Sings. CoP was then moved to WDW some time in the mid - late 70s

my hubby loves COP, but he also loves the incredibles. it's gonna be mixed-feelings if it changes...and if it does, the incredibles ride better be worth it!
if anything, COP just needs some updating at the end, perhaps.

I agree, why not just maintain and update the ride. All the really need to do is keep updating the last scene to keep it current.stinoi wrote:I hope they don't close CoP! It's a family favorite. That would be like cutting one of WDW's last ties to its original creator. What a slap in the face it would be to Walt's memory.

the problem with that is the present/future changes so rapidly these days. Cell phones, MP3 players, DVDs/BruRay discs, and the ike change on a yearly, if not more frequesnt basis. Keeping the show updated will be troublesome at best. Anything gealing with the "what could be in the future" theme is bound to be hard to pull off completely.mageloff wrote:I agree, why not just maintain and update the ride.
