Have to agree with both of these. The videos were cute, and I can see the benefit (maybe not the right word... the appeal?) of having something more interactive - or at least active - on that descent, because before you were just sort of sitting there. Granted, I -liked- the sitting there, but I could also see the point of view that it looked 'cheap' with just the black and the flashing lights and whatnot. (Even I think it looked like they ran out of money by that point, but I'm a sucker for fiber optics so I wasn't complaining about it.FlyingMouse wrote:I hope they paid Hanna-Barbera some royalties for their Jetsons knockoff on that descent video.

The flying cars business, though, flying cars with domes for Pete's sake... If SSE was in Tomorrowland, then sure, but as the anchor of Future World it seems a tad out of place. (Or it would if Future World was still particularly futuristic.) I don't really understand why they decided to 'showcase' technology that's so far future at the end. The descent stuff before was at least plausible in the next 50 years or so, if not sooner (as is a least most of the stuff in the after show area). It just seems like a sneaky tactic to keep from having to update the ride after another 20 years passes.
Oh well. At least the Romans' horse and the burning smell is still there. I hope that poor lost paperboy finds his way home soon.
