I'm going to Down Town Disney Tomorrow! Anyone know if anything cool is going on? I'm of course going to hit my favorite stores, The World of Disney, The Toy Store, and The Art of Disney.
I love the Virgin Megastore as well but man, are things pricey there.

I don't know how long they've had them for (probably a long time and I'm out of the loop), but when we were there a couple weeks ago, The Art of Disney at DTD had these 'art on demand' kiosks. At first, I was really disappointed looking around the store because I wanted some new attraction posters, and they didn't seem to be selling them anymore, despite the fact they were hanging on the walls. Fiddling around with the kiosk, I found you can get them to custom print out -tons- of attraction posters 'on demand' (you have to wait about an hour). I ended up getting the original WDW Peoplemover poster (*joy*), but they had about .. two dozen of them, I guess? If you're in to the old school posters at all, it's definitely worth a look.Blackie Pueblo wrote:I'm going to Down Town Disney Tomorrow! Anyone know if anything cool is going on? The big Disney store, I can spend hours in there, espically since Disney has crushed my idea of a "Disney Store" when they down sized all the local retail shops and made toy stores out of them. There is nothing for big people except on line any more. Our stop at the Village Marketplace is almost as good as going to one of the parks! ![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)

mine is definitely the pin store!
my hubby and i are pin trading fanatics and it's just nice to have so many of them in one location. sure, we still search all over the resorts and parks (especially for the limiteds that are only sold at specific parks), but it's just great to go in there.
the only bad thing is that it gets really hot during the summer! no ac and all....and it can get a tad crowded.

World of Disney - Definitely.
A close 2nd is the sports store though. We bought the cutest "You can't spell princess without ESPN" shirt for our 18 month old...

I couldn't agree more. Between those two stores (and the Home store of old), I could easily "invest" the majority of a day!I love the World of Disney! I also am very fond of the Art of Disney as well. Just wish I could afford some of the great things they have to offer.
