No problem! It's definitely a good time. Great way to kill an evening after wandering the parks all day.

Maybe just not our style, but we were very dissappointed and I wish we'd not wasted the money on it. Just our experience, take it for what it is worth.
Hey! Don't worry. We won't flame you... we'll just talk behind your back.

Seriously though, it sounds like you didn't know what you were getting into. What made you interested in seeing the show?

No one's really talking about the Hoop Dee Do Review anymore, but I figured I'll bring us back to the topic.

My family would always do this whenever we went to Disney, which was about every single year when I was little. I'm the youngest in my family, but we would always enjoy the atmopshere of the Review, and the food too.

Last time we went to see the Hoop Dee Do Review, it was 1999, and it was weird because the characters were wearing the same exact clothes and costumes from about eight years before. And at one point in the show, they bring people up to the stage. When I was little, my older brother was called up on the stage. And again in 1999, he was called up to the stage. It was a weird coincedence.

Overall, I enjoyed it.

LOL!

We hit Disney every year and I went growing up as a kid - just something we'd not done and heard good things about - at least we can say we did it now, eh? :?

That's always something. How old were you when you saw the show?

Gosh, I guess I must have been around 10 when I saw it as a kid - I don't remember disliking it as much as I did as an adult!

We have done Hoop de Doo several times and have always enjoyed it. It is definitely worth doing once.

I think I enjoyed it more when I was younger. Last time I saw it though was when I was nine. I enjoyed it then, but I think I liked it even better when I was five or so. But yes, it's definitely worth doing at least once.

If you are looking for something on the same lines as HDD, but cheaper, you could always try Mickey's Backyard BBQ at FW. It has the same food, but is a character meal/show.

When we went they had two showings. We decided to see the second show. My wife and kids loved it. I was too busy trying to eat my moneys worth of ribs to watch. It is expensive. I saw the cast members looking for a victim. I felt if i keep my head in my plate they wouldn't drag me out on stage and make a fool out of me. Sure enough they grab a guy in the crowd and put him on stage. He was a good sport. I don't think I would have been so gracious. After the show we had a problem getting a bus to our resort. A bus that was empty and going to another resort, took us to our resort. What a bunch of great people working at Disney.

We have been to Hoop Dee Doo 3 times. It is worth the money. Any of the dinner shows are expensive. We have been had dinner at a few of them. Remember you are paying for dinner and entertainment. Enjoy! :mickey:

One of my sisters friends is a cast member in the HDR. Personally.. I think the show needs somthing. The lighting and sound in the theater were out of date...maybe to keep the themeing. The show is one of the origionals from when the park opened if i remember correctly. I think it's needs a uplift. it's kinda weak.
