Favorite WDW Park and Why
Moderator: Moderators
While Epcot is becoming a favorite as i get older, The Magic Kingdom just holds a bit of everything i like...from Liberty Square, Adventureland, Fantasyland etc...just a touch of everything with a castle in the middle.
side note...it would be cool if they repainted the castle one year as if the villians took over. (they did a cake...why not a villian take over...) then half way through the year Mickey could win back the Castle...just a thought.

I feel the same way Epcot is now my favorite. I went to MK a few months back and packed wasn't near the word to describe it. I like to take it slow and enjoy the scenry now then I used too as a kid.TheGreatGonzo wrote:Definately Epcot. I find as I get older I enjoy the relaxation and atmosphere just as much as I do the "thrill" rides in the other parks.

Hi folks. I guess my choice would have to be Magic Kingdom, (no real surprise there). There's just something about that initial concept and Walt wanting to put as much of everything he could into his dream especially with the advantage of more land. My own pleasure however is/was the ability to compare and contrast the attractions on both coasts and find all the subtlties that both resorts have/had to offer. EPCOT will always place a VERY close second simply because to me it represents that last burst of real creative energy that Walt had in wanting to build his last dream. I know I'm a sentimentalist but hey, this is Disney we're talking about here. Anyway, until later, peace.

Very tough question but I am going with The Magic Kingdom. There is just something about the place that makes me forget my troubles and I feel like a kid again. I get emotional sometimes just thinking about the park.
A very very close second is EPCOT. I love this place just as much and could just walk around here all day. I don't even have to ride anything... but I do.

Hmmm, right now my favorite is Epcot. But on any given day it could be MK or Studios. AK hasn't grabbed me quite yet. I'll give it another try in Oct. At this point sitting in the ticket center parking lot would be better than sitting here at work. Even a little piece of WDW is better than none at all.

I guess I spend more time at Epcot. But I really love MK. Castle-SSE, Thunder Mountain-Test Track.
Hard choice

It's kind of sad that no one has voted for MGM (I will always refer to it as that) or AK. Where is Quickgold when you need him?

Yeah, I really enjoy MGM and AK and a trip to WDW wouldn't be complete without at least some time at each park, BUT the poll was for my favorite and as such I had to go with MK.
I see Walt Disney in MK more than the other three parks. EPCOT, MGM, AK are all great, but only MK has Small World, PoTC, CoP and other attractions that Walt himself envisioned or worked on.

Tough question indeed. While Epcot certainly is the park I tend to spend the most time in, I can't walk down MK's Main Street without it becoming October 1, 1971 again. There, in front of Cinderella's Castle, standing among more than a thousand instruments and voices and actually feeling "When You Wish Upon a Star" while hundreds of balloons sail into the Florida sky. Few places hold such memory "rushes" in my life, and fewer still remain basically unchanged for 30+ years. For a once-14 year old with a clarinet, the Magic Kingdom is just that.

Great description gully! That's how I feel too. And MouseMan another good point. No other park has that feeling that you get, like you really are as close to Walt Disney as with the Magic Kingdom.gullyf wrote:Tough question indeed.
