The HDDR is kinda corny, but so what? It's a lot of fun. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow. My 2 teenage DS even enjoy it.

I don't know how anyone can afford to shell out $52, $55, or $58 a ticket, much less 4-5 tickets to eat fried chicken, ribs, corn on the cob, baked beans and a drink. If you have had the pleasure to seen the show in earlier days when the cost was not so bad, treasure the memories. It is a nice experience, but not no way worth the price of admission. Where will it stop, only when people say enuff!

We're doing Spirit of Aloha this next trip in a couple of weeks. I agree with AJBARTH, you're paying for dinner and a show, but those prices are a bit ridiculous.

I'm in with HDDR is over rated. I've been once, and that was enough for me. Also I think it's over priced, but that goes along with me thinking it's over rated. :)

I remember going to the Hoop Dee Doo Review when I was about 4 years old. We were with some of my parents' friends and their children. One of the other kids was pulled up to dance through the audience and I was given a washboard and spoon to play, it was a lot of fun. Later my parents took me and my fiance the year before we got married and we also went back on our honeymoon and got to dance when they asked for people who were celebrating just getting married or an anniversary. We are going back to DW this fall and will be celebrating our 10th anniversary this year so we were really wanting to take our girls, ages 5 and 7, but it is sold out! I do think that they would enjoy it :D

Our group of 24 were there in Oct 2006. We all had a great time. The ages ranged from 7 to 76. The older men wore matching shirts, the younger guys wore different matching shirts, while the young ladies wore matching outfits. The older ladies thankfully wore clothes but did not match. We had one of the characters in the show laughing so hard at our shirts and outfits. The came and picked my 20 year old daughter to help with the can-can dance. We had a hoot with her on stage. Make sure you get all you can eat and the wine, beer, soda, and other non alcoholic drinks are free. Have a great time.
