For some reason my kids love the pool at WL, me I loved the ones at BC, they were a day all by themselves.

Not too familiar with the resorts, although I tour them a lot, my wife and I were amazed by the resort that had the really long pool that connected to the resort right next door. It looked like a river and even had actual sand in certain spots of it. Which one was that one?

Another vote for Stormalong Bay!

Although as a child where the only places to stay on property were basically the Contemporary, Poly, or the Fairways Villas and Treehouses......I longed for the Poly pool!

I love Storm Along Bay and the Beach club. Nothing like a sand botton pool.

I agree with AKLRULZ, I enjoy the quiet pools around POR. Now, my nephew just hates the quiet pools because he loves to hang with other kids and just loves the slides! His favoite so far is POFQ and CB.

Stormalong Bay at 9:00 in the morning when you practically have the pool all to yourself and are totally relaxed just watching the metal flags above the resort twirl in the breeze. Aaaahhhh

I still like the Wilderness Lodge. The look of swimming in the creak and the hot tubs in the guyers are fantastic.

I have not seen the Storm-a Long Bay pool but I want to now! From the places we have stayed I like the Wilderness Lodge Pool and PO French Quarter.

We are staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins for the first time this fall. I have not seen the pool there. Does anyone know if it is any good? Are you allowed to visit other resorts' pools even if you are not staying there?

I can't speak for the pool at Fort Wilderness, but can advise you about visiting other resorts' pools. Disney's policy is not to allow pool hopping. Only DVC Members are allowed to pool hop, and even then, there are some black out periods and some resorts are off limits totally.

Hope this helps. Have a great time when you go, fall is a super time to visit!

Thank you! We are looking forward to it :D We usually go in the fall because the crowds are lighter, hopefully they will be the week we go!

I think it's a tie between Port Orleans French Quarter and Stormalong Bay.

Here is a thought that I had recently. With so many cool opportunites to design great swimming areas, why have the most recent pools been rather dull? AKL is just ok, nothing spectacular as far as "theme" goes. Same goes for Saratoga Springs. Maybe there is something to be said for the comment one person made about "who needs Blizzard Beach?".

Storm-a-long bay...hands down!!!!!!! Sand Bottum, whirlpool, several hot tubs, lazy river and the sinking sand! and it has a large capacity.
