Captain EO on video?
Moderator: Moderators
I finally got it!
I decided to go with an exclusive Captain EO DVD and I'm not at all disappointed. I got it off of eBay, paid about $25 with shipping.
It has the movie in both regular and widescreen, plus the making of and the video of "another part of me."
The quality is quite good, better than I expected.

Hi all...
Just in case anyone is interested, there are two other versions of Captain EO out there on video, but you'll have to watch eBay to find them, I think. That's where I found my copies, three years ago.
The first is a VideoCD version released by Disney in Japan.... well, in Japan or in Europe. Since I can't seem to find my copy, suddenly, I can't double-check before I post. When I find it, I'll let you know if you're interested.
The second is a VHS videotape that was produced by Disney and was given as a promotional gift to big mucky-mucks when the Attraction first premiered at Disneyland. The videotape also includes a making-of, and interviews with some of the stars.
Both of these are high-quality studio transfers from the original film masters (one of the two, of course... neither of these is a 3-D version, which is good, in terms of quality), but obviously, the quality of the VideoCD is limited by that format's capacity.
