I don't know about the parade, but Casey's Corner is the best place to watch Wishes. The trick is the taping. When it is getting close to the time for Wishes, they put down tape on the streets. By Casey's corner they tape off a walkway between Casey's and the Ice Cream Parlor. If you stand with your toes on the line, no one can stand in front of you for 6 feet. No one really thinks about it, and then people who stand right in front of you will be asked to leave by the Disney staff. You are dead center with a wide angle view of the fireworks and the castle.

MansionButler wrote: The best place to watch the fireworks is the bridge to Tomorrowland, hands down. Tinkerbell flies right over head and you get a gorgeous view of the castle and every firework.
We stood underneath Tink's "long, thin strand of pixie dust". It was awesome to see her fly over. It was also a good location to view the castle and fireworks.

Speaking of Wishes, does anybody know how long the show will run? Our next trip will not be until July of 2009. We really liked the show and want to see it again.

For Fireworks I have to go with the Hub. The music and fireworks are timed to that spot. For the parade I have to say that the second floor of the Main Street Station. I had some really cool views from up there.

I was able to get seat in the eating area for the Noodle station about an hour before wishes right up againt the wall. We had seats and no one was blocking our view. Plus tink flies right over head! - Great Spot!

Wow! I never thought about this spot for watching fireworks, but it seems like an awesome spot now that you mentioned it. I'm definitley going to have to try that area out next time. Do you know under what circumstances they open the seating area though? On most trips we've gone on the table area next to the moat is roped off.

I would echo what MansionButler said. If you plan out too much you'll be disappointed and running from here to there.

The system My wife and I use, is to plan two things per day. And just play it by ear between them. So we'll say tomorrow we need/want to do Mickey's Philimagic, and dinner at Jiko's (which we would have ADRs for.) So that means go to Magic Kingdom, and somehow end up at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Many times I'll see people complaining about HAVING to be here or there, and everyone yelling and screaming. So many unhappy people at the happiest place on earth.

It so great that all us Disney fans get together and trade ideas. I hope to use some of your ideas someday! Thanks for the info everyone!

If anyone can find a way to do it, the very best place to watch the parade and the fireworks is from the VIP viewing area on the bridge from Liberty Square to the Main Street hub. This is where we used to bring celebrities to watch the events, because it's such an intimate and ideal viewing location.
