Pirates & Princess Party hard ticketed event @ MK

Post by AKLRULZ » Jun Tue 20, 2006 6:33 am

In case anyone is interested - from WDWMAGIC.com:
It is expected an official announcement will come regarding this in the next few weeks. Currently, plans include a treasure hunt with treasure bag, Pirate Adventure Coves and Princess Royal Courts throughout the park, a special parade and special edition of Wishes, lots of characters and walk around streetmosphere, and themed classes, such as "Learn to be a Princess" and "Learn to be a Pirate".

The hard ticket events are likely to run from around 7:30pm to 12:30 am, from late January through to March. Ticket prices are expected to be in line with Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, and are set to be on sale in July.

Remember this isn't officially confirmed yet, and tickets are not yet available.

7:30 pm - 12:30 seems like it'd cut the heart of the biggest demographics of whom would probably be mostly interested in these events, the princess one especially. I know a lot of families will bring their kids but it seems like it's sort of late for younger audiences.

Actually this is a good thing! The little kids get to stay up late (for them... a treat!), but leave early enough so that the older kids can enjoy it too!

I love this idea. I think my 9-year old son would love the Pirates theme, and my 5-year old daughter is about as nuts for the Disney princesses as one can get. I guess I better be prepared to check into this more thoroughly before our next trip.

Sounds like a lot of fun. The kids will have a blast and its a reason to go to WDW during the off-season.

Kids, what about us adults. :)

I think it's a great idea. If the flights are cheap enough we may just have to make a trip down there for one of these days.

I'd love to go but with my first year of college coming up, I don't know if I'd be able to go this year.Oh well, there'll probably be next year :) I personally love that they're having the pirates and princesses together. I love both and I think it will open it up to more families who may have girls and boys. No boy wants to go to a princess only party and a lot of younger girls have no desire to go to an all pirates party. JMHO of course.

We are going Feb. 17th thru Feb 24th. The kids are off for Mardi Gras. I thought my daughter was too old for Pirates & Princess Party, but I was wrong. She is a mature 15, but still my little girl. She was very upset when I made a negative comment about the extra money needed for this activity. Of course I made arrangements the next business day. Got the tickets (plastic, credit cards) in a week.

We'll be there on the 23rd. I am really looking forward to it. We aren't dressing up but it should still be fun!
Have a magical day!

For the people who have been to the party, How did you like it? I was a tad disappointed. The night I went was the very first one, and it rained. (not their fault) but it didnt' really feel like the Christmas or Halloween parties. It just felt like I was paying for a short line onto the rides. There didn't seem like there was too much spectacular stuff going on.

Meet and Greet with Jack Sparrow was huge though. I didn't get to do it because it was park close and the line was still 45 minutes long.

I love the idea for this party, but there needs to be a few newer/bigger things.
