Of the three monorail resorts, my favorite is the Grand Floridian. But, we're just back from a stay at the Contemporary and it was nice! We had a junior suite and with the exception of the north wing all rooms have been completely refurbished and are amazing in decor. The standard rooms aree also very big as mentioned.

You can actually still take a boat launch to the Magic Kingdom - you'll just have to go to the WL first in order to do so, so it's not the most efficient way to travel. We walked to the MK and took the monorail back.

There are a few excellent dining options - the best of the best being California Grill (prepare to pay major bucks). Chef Mickey's and the Concourse Steakhouse are also good. The cafe onsite is okay for quick options.

My opinion of the pool is that it's nice and big but not themed as great as the pools are at say the Poly, AKL, WL or YC/BC.

Overall, I'd absolutely stay here again in a pinch if nothing else was available but would choose GF and the Poly over the Contemporary.

I thought Fort Wilderness Cabins would be the best because there is so much more you can do at Fort Wildnerness then at the All Star with the same price range.
Do you think have enough time to go the bathroom before the next show?

I heard that the bus service was terrible there. Can anyone who stayed there verify or dispute this?

The bus service is OK from FW. You have to wait for a bus (or boat, or monorail) no matter where you stay, but if you're not hopping too much around from place to place during the day, then you'll be fine. (Hence, why I made my dinner reservations within the parks I will be in that particular day... )
