How many Disney resorts have you stayed at?
Moderator: Moderators
Lets see.
The Disney Inn before it went Military. That was the first time my family stayed on site.. It changed the way we did Disney.. and now we own DVC.
Wilderness Lodge - My parents home base in DVC.
Boardwalk - My favorite of all the hotels.
All Star Music - 10 days here for our honeymoon!
Pop Century - Wanted to check it out for a few days before moving to Boardwalk.
Not a lot there but we really like the boardwalk and we end up there more often then not.

sadly, just one. Port Orleans French Quarter in 1998. Been 4 times, but that was the only time at a disney hotel. ive stayed at one in the downtown disney area but that doesnt count. The other two were a holiday inn waaay back in '88 ( i was 2 years old!) and recently with a friend and her family at the vistana villas, they have a time share there. but next time i go, its a disney resort stay, hands down.

I've never stayed at any of the resorts. However I'm planning on staying at my first one when we go visit next summer for Epcot's 25th Annaversary. Not really sure which one I will stay at, since I don't know much about them. I'll probably try to get a dvd or video from Disney when we get closer to making our trip plans so I can see what they have going for the different resorts. And I'm always open to suggestions from you guys. You're my expert advice

Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle until the ride comes to a full and complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney World.

A friend of mine stays there almost every visit and really likes it. She likes that it's close to Epcot and it's a nice resort to hang out even if you don't feel like park hopping. The swim area is awesome.packwingfn wrote:I've always wanted to stay at the Yacht and Beach Club?
Anyone have any thoughts on it who have already stayed there?

I don't remember exactly which ones we stayed at when I was a kid (in the 70s - I watched WDW build up to where it is today). But as an adult......
Swan (If I win the lottery, I am getting one of those beds!)
Polynesian (got glomped by Goofy that time!
)
....and I'm not sure where I'll stay once I get enough $ to go again. Maybe one of the theme hotels?

Thank you, Walt, for making animation what it is today.

She's missing out..... if you go to either the Swan or the Dolphin, you get access to either EPCOT or MGM via boat.briar_rose_59 wrote:I've only been once and only stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter. Now my mom doesn't want to try any other hotels except possibly the Contemporary lol.

Absolutely amazing. We were at Beach Club last summer and at Yacht Club for Christmas. Both resorts are similar but have unique feels. My preference was the rich woods and decor of the Yacht Club, but I'd stay at Beach Club in a heartbeat. I think a room with a view is important so splurge on the water view - we had an incredible view of the Boardwalk from our Beach Club deluxe room and we had a view of the lake and Epcot from Yacht Club which provided for some fantastic views of Illuminations from our balcony.packwingfn wrote:I've always wanted to stay at the Yacht and Beach Club?

There are fabulous dining choices and as mentioned the pool - really a mini waterpark - is absolutely out of this world.
Definitely one of Disney's best!
