Sean,
I have some Horizons blueprint images if you need them. I was enough of a GE customer to get comp'ed for a couple WDW trips. One of the best things about it was access to the Horizons VIP area. The VIP entrance was around the right hand side of the pavilion. There was a reception area with an elevator up to the lounge where you could get free refreshments, relax on couches, etc. and then go through a door which opened right onto the loading area so that you could get right on the ride. Very nice.

Inkydog,
LUCKY YOU!! The only VIP lounge I was ever given access to was the GM lounge at World of Motion. I would love any and all Horizons material you could send me. I of course will thank you in the credits and give you free copies of the DVD.

Hey 'Mr. I have audio of everything', I'm still looking for clean dialog tracks of Horizons. I'm remastering the tracks in Los Angeles.. So far we have the dialog tracks panned behind your head and the animatronic dialog tracks panned in front. It's going to be great. Some portions really sound like you are there.subsonic wrote:Quit collecting and start creating

COOL article - Horizons really was an amazing attraction and having ridden it first as a kid it really had a lot of nostalgia to me. My older two kids were fortunate enough to be able to experience it, but alas my youngest never was.

I know I'm replying to an old post, but I have the actual GE sign from the Horizons VIP area.inkydog wrote:Sean,

Can't wait to see it. I miss Horizons, and it sound like you've got quite a success in the works. I only wish I had footage, etc. to contribute. Good luck !!!

I am happy to hear that Sean is doing this project as Horizons is my favorite attraction and I can't get enough of it. I wish someone had done a ride through with a High Definition camera, that would have been sweet. But I must admit I love the look of Super 8 film so I am excited to see what he comes up with.

vfxpro,
Sounds like a truly great project! Good luck! I don't know if you've seen the video the have at the intercot site but it's a complete ride through that ends with the space choice. My guess is you have seen it, but if you haven't it's there but the quality is not very good. Sorry I can't help anymore, I know I've googled and Kazaa'd every combination of Horizons video I can think of and that was about the only one I could come up with.
