"Disney is beginning another test today (July 23 2013) of the 112 person articulated bus system.
The last trial in March 2012 appears to have been successful as Disney are moving ahead with the introduction of these large buses later this year. The test beginning today looks to be in preparation for the final deployment.
It is expected that the articulated Nova Bus LFS Artic will be used on high-capacity routes, such as Magic Kingdom to the value resorts. Disney is currently in the process of building a greatly expanded bus drop-off area at the Magic Kingdom."
I wonder how the testing is going for the electric bus that started in the summer.

I imagine he will check in once he returns from his vacation...to USO
(I suppose they already were lucky enough to go to DL and WDW this year...but I think I would have gone back to WDW over USO!)

I am definitely a fan of these busses. We were fortunate enough to ride on one during the last testing period and they carry a TON of people comfortably. A big necessity in the Summer months with the Value resorts.

Did you happen to notice how the accessible features worked? Was it still a ramp in the back portion of the bus?

The articulated bus test resuming I actually discussed in the Transport thread. From what I was told in May, Disney went ahead and purchased about 10 of them with deliveries starting this summer. It all seems to fit in now. Thinking this might have to continue over in that thread.

Haha no worries bbabe. I'm far from caught up on the forums too. I tried looking for one of the buses when I went to DTD, but we were barely on property and none of the articulated buses would be anywhere near DTD as they are slated for MK to value/moderate resorts.

Amy, sadly I don't remember but if they are still around in a couple of weeks I will find out as we are staying at a Value resort.

Thanks in advance for checking!

Oh, and I am envious that you are going as well

although the fact that it is August makes me just a little bit less envious

I love the buses are electric. In Chicago they have a few bio-diesel buses. When they go by the exhaust smells like french fries.
