I was amazed in at how small the crowds were in May 2005. They were larger than December 2005 but for the vast majority of rides there was no need to use a fastpass.
Heat is an issue, but not as bad as when we went in Aug 2002. Bring a lot of cash for WATER!!!!!!!!! (Or bring your own but it gets warm and isn't as refreshing!!!!)

I will be arriving on Monday May 8th and departing on Friday evening May 12th. I'm staying pt POR. This is my first solo trip. For those of you familiar with POR, What is a good area to stay in? I'm looking to be in a quite area, but not too far away from a bus stop or the main areas. Does anyone have any ideas? I want to feel safe walking around at night!

It's pretty good. Not too hot but warm. My Aunt will be here for a visit and she promised me we would go to the park together again like last time.

Friendships are a blessing. Don't waste it on people who can't appreciate it.

Fantasy Land In the back of the Magic Kingdom is a great place for todlers! They have a lot of rides for little kids!cmcd13 wrote:Hi All,
I'm going to WDW 1st 2 weeks in May this year. This will be my first visit with toddlers in tow (not mine). How are the crowds, weather, hours at that time? Anyone have any advice on doing the parks with toddlers (18 month, 3 & 4 yr olds).

I have one in my office right now. His mother works upstairs and she pawns him off on the rest of the Hospital so she doesn't have to deal with him for a day. She sends him to us because we used to tire him out but we gave up after the 8th time he was down here. He is very annoying to all. We are trying to help correct some things, like the eating with his mouth open(I can't stand that), and he now asks to get on the computer instead of pushing his way onto it. The way we corrected that was everytime he did we pulled the plug on the computer and he got the message.
Wow sorry for that, I guess I just needed to vent. But cmcd13 I know what you mean about the many kids.

I saw some of you said you are going in June. I am going June 1-9 for a wedding. How is the weather and the lines around that time? Is it bad? All the others times I have gone has been in may, september, and june. But it has been 3 years so I don't rememeber. Any help...? Thanks! Oh I am staying at the Beach Club for the first time. Has anyone else stayed there? I have stayed at the Port Orleans and Grand Floridian.
We went mid to late May of last year with 2 yr old twins and found the weather delightful. Warm enough for them to enjoys the water spots and pools but not the oppressive late summer heat and humidity that is the hallmark of a Florida summer. Crowds were managable and the brief showers we experienced were warm enough not to be discomforting. All in all, a great time to visit...
