I just priced out a few trips in September...but all were too expensive. Southwest has also posted $59 one-way flights from my hometown to MCO...and same price coming back. That means 2 round-trip flights for $236 TOTAL. That is insane...I remember paying $200 (flying Delta) for just me back in 2001 and thinking it was a great deal.

Again...it's the dang park passes that make it too expensive. If we lived closer...or in FL :) we would be able to take advantage of an AP...justifying the enormous price.

Wow ~ those airplane fares are incredible! Would you be able to swing APs if you knew you would be going back for sure in 2014 before they would expire?

yeah...if we knew we would be coming back within 365 days we would try to get APs

we do have a Disney Rewards gift card that will expire later this year...so we've thought about using it to help pay for a few park passes since they never expire until you start using them

That is a smart idea for using your gift card :D
