I've always enjoyed WolfGang's downstairs. Never tried the upstairs restaurant.

Paradiso 37 is excellent, and very different. I like that one a lot, as well as Raglan Road's QSR place. Earl of Sandwich of course.
T-Rex is better than Rainforest.

Yes Earl of Sandwich!!! We were in London last week and made a special trip to the very road where sandwiches were invented to visit the one there! After a year and a half since our ones from Downtown Disney, the whole family very much enjoyed them!

Coming to this well after the fact, but I find this kind of surprising. Outside of maybe having in some extra options for a possibly very crowded DTD, I can't see Disney being too big on the idea of welcoming competition to the property. (Edited to add: maybe Disney's thinking about their own food trucks to send around the property?)MadEye wrote:Interesting to note that a food truck offering lobster (among other shell fish dishes) for $10 will be on the West Side of DTD this weekend.

Rumors are floating around that this could be a test to see how guests like the idea of a food truck and have a rotation of different types of food from the trucks.
As far as best restaurants -- Raglan Road is fantastic, if a little on the pricey side (but as far as sit-down goes, all of Disney can be). I'm fond of the chicken and chips when they open up the late evening pub grub menu.

If they charge a premium for the spaces they might. But Disney does have food trucks, they used them for Electronica and I think all the other "dance parties" at DCA, so it could be their own shops. Someone would just need to look at their permit to see.

I second this T-Rex statement. We have (actually had, they just closed) a Rainforest Cafe near my home and I also went to the one at Animal Kingdom and neither compared to T-Rex. I found the decorations to be a lot better and I also liked the fact that different parts of the restaurant were themed differently. I sat in the undersea area, but had to walk through the Ice Age to get to the rest rooms.Soarin08 wrote:T-Rex is better than Rainforest.
Definitely a place to visit.

Captain Jacks remains a top favorite: the view, the crab cakes. With a wall of windows it makes a great spot for when the sun is going down and the food is really good.

We are also big fans of EoS and Ghirardelli! We almost never sit down for a long meal at DTD. Too much shopping to do I guess. ![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
We did try Splitsville for lunch in Jan, and it was GREAT!

Without a doubt, Raglan Road and Fulton's Crab House are my wife's and my favorites. Try the Smokey City dip at Raglan Road as an appetizer and definitely try the bread and butter pudding! Have fun!

Hmmm, the Smokey City dip sounds interesting ~ what's in it?CCAS116 wrote:Without a doubt, Raglan Road and Fulton's Crab House are my wife's and my favorites. Try the Smokey City dip at Raglan Road as an appetizer and definitely try the bread and butter pudding! Have fun!
EDIT: Answered my own question ~ here is a link to a video from Raglan Road with the chef showing how to make it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4Ux9GcP8SU
Not at all what I expected from the name of it. Not sure how that would be as I've never had smoked haddock...like the cheese though!

I have some friends who ate at Ragland Road last week...I'll have to ask them how it was. I've only gotten drinks at the little pub next door.

I absolutely second this! We ate there for the first time on our departure day and we really enjoyed the food. It's a great sandwich shop!!!MmeLeota wrote:Earl of Sandwich is a great little sandwich shop if you're looking for something quick.

Amy, the haddock is actually pretty mild in the dip and doesn't taste fishy at all. The potatoes and cheese really make it shine!Amy wrote:Hmmm, the Smokey City dip sounds interesting ~ what's in it?CCAS116 wrote:Without a doubt, Raglan Road and Fulton's Crab House are my wife's and my favorites.
