Is this the restaurant on the main floor of the pavilion, overlooking the canal for the boat attraction? If it is, we ate there in October, and I wasn't impressed. Service was EXCELLENT but the food didn't thrill me. It wasn't bad, just not great. Neutral is the best word for it, I guess, and if you're going to spend this much money for a meal, it should be better than neutral.

My sister had an avocado margarita which was weird. I don't remember if she liked it. I know she finished it, though. I know I wouldn't have liked it, but I'm not a huge avocado fan, unless they're in guacamole. :)

I'll have hubby take a look at this tonight and chime in if he has anything to add. He has a subsonic account, but never posts.

I had my first jalapeño margarita last week courtesy of M-dude. :D It wasn't what I expected. Definitely interesting though.

Negative, Cy1229! La Hacienda is outside of the pyramid. It's overlooking the water and was recently added to back in 2010 I believe.

Oh. Ok. Well then disregard all that.

Did we eat at San Angel Inn? You'd think I'd know this, but that was not a good day for me. Almost had heat stroke.

Yes it is. I just checked the menu this afternoon because we have never eaten there and I am planning our vacation. If it is not that great I maybe skip it.

Well, you have to understand, I'm not much of a Mexican food fan. I don't dislike it, I just wouldn't choose it over something else. So maybe others should chime in, or maybe you'd like to read some other reviews on other sites, before making your decision. Like I said, we didn't have a bad meal, just not anything to rave about. We had really good food at Teppan Edo this year. Our other favorite meals were at Boma (best) and Mama Melrose.

I never have, no. Did ancient Mayan/Aztec pyramids have cascading waterfalls?

Yes, but it was usually the blood of their sacrifices in some instances they think there were thousands of people killed in a single ritual.

Such a lovely visual right before lunch. Thanks for that.

I'm glad Disney doesn't feel the need to be THAT realistic.

This makes the most sense. I remember hearing years ago that you couldn't buy gum in the parks because they didn't want people spitting their gum out everywhere. I don't chew gum, so I've never really noticed. Is that true?
