Since I lived in Orlando for years, I became QUITE familiar with the Orlando water system.. We called it "Baskin Robbins" because it was always 31 flavors... usually it was suflury (Disney water is always very sulfury to me) or sometimes it was minerally or even sometimes a bit chlorinated.. You never quite knew which it would be. But when I visit Disney I always smell that sulfury water or taste it in the water fountains and it reminds me of when I lived there.. LOL
I really noticed it, too, especially when I ran the water warm to wash my hands. YUCK! Glad we brought filtering water bottles with us!!

Baskin Robbins water

That should taste good though right? Like ice cream

Not a fan of the water at WDW. I just figured that is what you deal with when you have municipal water systems ~ chlorinated or treated in some way ~ yuck!

Well water isn't always the best. At our house in Romeo, Michigan, when I was a kid, we HAD to have a water softener. The well water, if left to sit, would precipitate a cloudy yellowish-orange gunk that was some kind of iron compound. EVERYTHING had rust stains on it, and I had the BEST red highlights in my hair!
Even then, though, we as Americans have the best water supply, stinky and gunky and all.

That smell of the warm, terminal air as I'm stepping off the plane and into the airport to catch that monorail over to the other side. Yessir, nothin like watching those palm trees whizz past as you're on your way to catching a ride on one of the Magical Express busses!

There is that certain smack of humidity that hits you once you get to Florida isn't there?!

well since I am from the south the humidity isn't as much of a smack but there is definitely a little slap in the face when I step out og my car into the Orlando heat.

I would have to say Spaceship Earth, It just has that unique smell when you are going through with the fog machines at different parts of the ride and also when you get the part when they show Earth. This is also my favorite ride at Epcot. For Magic Kingdom, it would have to be a toss up between HM and TTA, they both have a smell all their own.

I had to bump this thread because I had the strangest link between a food item and it's smell. I was eating a chocolate chip cookie (not now...it's 8 am...) and it actually reminded me of the Land pavilion cuz I guess certain food stations had cookies......
yeah, I know, that's sort of a stretch.

We usually ride Pirates first, so the smell of the water usually puts me in a great mood because I know my WDW vacation is underway!

I love the water smell for Pirates, burning Rome on SSE, Mainstreet Bakery (R.I.P)....geez I could go on and on lol. A lot of smells I never really noticed until I read them here. Now I gotta check them out next time I go.
