100% Wilderness Lodge! The whole atmosphere is warm and cozy. Love the lush surroundings, and the night time water parade is another bonus. We've visited all of the other deluxe resorts, but never stayed at another. I'd have to go with AKL as my 2nd fave. The theming is awesome, too!

I love DAK Lodge and Wilderness Lodge, they are two amazing resorts. I can't help but vote for the Polynesian though. Great food, great views of the castle and Electrical Water Pageant, relaxed atmosphere, etc. It doesn't have jacuzzi tubs in the rooms, but it has a great theme and a welcome feeling.

I must have posted in this forum at some point in the past, but...
My three favorites are DAK Lodge, Wildnerness Lodge, and the Polynesian. I think those three have the best atmosphere and do the best job of immersing their guests in a unique environment. If I had to narrow it to one resort, it would have to be the Poly--great memories of childhood vacations spent there. And the smell in the lobby is like nowhere else on earth.

Your brother had a WDW wedding? Grrr...so jealous! I wanted one, but the wife wanted Tahoe - guess who wonabrcrmbegrl20 wrote:I stayed at the Grand Floridian in 2003 when my brother got married there and it was nice. Very nice. My only complaint about is the transportation to other parks other than Magic Kingdom. The wait sucked. But a nice place.

My brother worked at both the Contemporary and the Grand. The Grand is definitely the best one. (And I would advise against anyone staying at the Contemporary. If you are spending that much money, stay somewhere nicer!)

Yeah - I need to qualify my prior post though:
The California Grill is FANTASTIC! The view, the food, the service. A restaraunt certainly doesn't make a hotel, but it certainly helps at least a small bit.
By the way, another reason to not stay there is that when you book a room there you usually assume you are getting a room in the tower (or "the toaster"), but invariably, unless you upgrade, you are in the garden rooms in seperate crappy buildings. You don't even stay in the actual hotel! My brother said like 99% of guests were shocked and appalled when they checked in and learned that.

I LOVE The wilderness lodge! It is SOOOOOO beaitiful! (Ft. wilderness is fun too, but not a lodge) Though I love the ease of travel from the Comtemporary (and the rooms are HUGE). My goal is to stay at each of the lake lodges. So still left are the Poly and the GF.

I've stayed at the Yacht Club, and BoardWalk, but I've had lunch at the Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge. Between those, BoardWalk is my favorite. I really like the theming and its pool is one of the most underrated (especially the king of them all is across the way at Yacht & Beach). Also, its location is ideal. Honorable mentions go to Yacht & Beach (Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is awesome) and the Grand Floridian.
