Well, you'll just have to come back to see the new stuff! Good news is that the park is still very enjoyable w/o the new things and you really don't notice anything missing except when you cant get off the train at Toontown. If you haven't been there in a while, make sure you check out the new queue for Haunted Mansion and also Winnie the Pooh (walk through the queue instead of taking the quick way if offered) its very neat what they've done there.poohprincess wrote:I am going to WDW in 2 weeks...I wish that some of the new parts would be open....sad.

I would only do HM's queue if it isn't busy, otherwise you'll be stuck behind people taking a million photos and playing with everything and you'll never get on the ride. Just my two cents.

Just wondering...has this been your experience?Soarin08 wrote:I would only do HM's queue if it isn't busy, otherwise you'll be stuck behind people taking a million photos and playing with everything and you'll never get on the ride. Just my two cents.
I've found that more people go to the "quick" queue and the other side is pretty sparse. But I'm certainly not discounting your experience if it is otherwise during high crowd times.

Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
When we were there this past December it seemed like the crowds split pretty evenly through the two queue sides. Guests were pretty good on the cemetery side though. If you wanted to stay and play, others would go around you, and if they wanted to play and interact with the queue as well, then they stayed in line. I don't know how it would be when the crowds are heavier though. We did have problems merging back into the regular line though as we had an ECV and people wouldn't give any room for us to re-enter the main queue. That is when people behind us started getting nasty since they thought we were causing a bottleneck, although it was through no fault of our owndisneylizzy wrote:Just wondering...has this been your experience?Soarin08 wrote:I would only do HM's queue if it isn't busy, otherwise you'll be stuck behind people taking a million photos and playing with everything and you'll never get on the ride. Oh no! That really sucks. At least the new queue can accommodate ECV's I guess.Amy wrote:When we were there this past December it seemed like the crowds split pretty evenly through the two queue sides. I also think that b/c the two queues come together it could appear like one side was "cutting" the other.

Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
I'm probably going to miss any openings THIS year, but we've got plans for next year, too! Hopefully it's fully open then! Any good sites to see the construction? (I came across a time-lapse video of the construction, but I don't remember where...)

UPDATE: The rear tent (one furthest from Cinderella Castle) now has a reddish colored tent skin on the complete top of it and nothing on the sides. Sorry no pics as I wasn't expecting it.

No you're correct, same info was on the Hub today. Fantasyland train station, one piece of Dumbo, and the revamped Barnstormer open late next month. Word is around here that people are getting antsy so Disney was upping it a bit to start opening the thing sooner.MadEye wrote:So, unless I read that ling wrong, Snow White's Scary Adventure is May 31st. Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
Wow kind of scary that Snow White will be closing right at the start of the busy summer season. I guess last Aug. was the final adventure I took.

So Dumbo's opening has been pushed back again? Or is it going to open mid-March and the other stuff is opening late March?Soarin08 wrote:No you're correct, same info was on the Hub today. That is true but then again, most if not all of Storybook Circus should be open. Trading a dark ride for a land is a good trade if you ask me.Len90 wrote:Wow kind of scary that Snow White will be closing right at the start of the busy summer season. I guess last Aug. was the final adventure I took.

Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
They said one half of it is opening for now with these other two things.... I guess it's gonna be a Dueling Dumbos or something. I'll pull up the article on the Hub tomorrow and post what it says.MadEye wrote:So Dumbo's opening has been pushed back again?
