Mickey' Toontown Fair
So, I was browsing around Youtube and found this video. It's of the final night that Mickey's Toontown Fair was open. It shows Wishes above Mickey's house and the staff shutting and locking up the doors on the house. Thought I'd share it with everyone

That is kinda sad. We didn't go to the area a lot - it wasn't on our usual route in the park, but I did love Mickey & Minnie's houses.

Re: Mickey' Toontown Fair
Aside from Goofy's Barnstormer, which was the perfect size for small kids, we didn't do much in the area, either. We DID go see Mickey and Minnie at the Judges' Tent one year but vowed to not do that again because the lines were so long. Now that my kids are teenagers, I doubt we'll miss Toontown much. That is, until we have grandchildren which BETTER not be for a LONG TIME!!!

Re: Mickey' Toontown Fair
I was sort of sad that I didn't spend more time in Toontown two years ago when we were there. I had forgotten it was closing
and didn't do much extra there. I did take some photos in Mickey and Minnie's houses but there was a young group of very exuberant, overly boisterous teenagers doing the same so I didn't spend much time there. They were obnoxious to the point of shoving in front of very small children trying to enjoy the houses' features
Luckily on this more recent trip, NaCler reminded me about Snow White's closing so I made sure to ride that a few extra times and snap some more photos.

Yeah, we will definitely miss Snow White more than Toontown altogether. And you can still visit Mickey's house in Disneyland right?Amy wrote:I was sort of sad that I didn't spend more time in Toontown two years ago when we were there. Yes...but it was Mickey & Minnie's country houses that were in WDW. That's why WDW didn't really have "Toontown" as that is at DLR. WDW had Toontown Fair.disneylizzy wrote:Yeah, we will definitely miss Snow White more than Toontown altogether. And you can still visit Mickey's house in Disneyland right?

Hmmm, I don't know that I ever knew that. That's sort of cool, and now, sort of sad since it is all gonetheBIGyowski wrote:Yes...but it was Mickey & Minnie's country houses that were in WDW. Eh, I don't miss the place. I'm ready for the new Fantasyland. Little Mermaid and Snow White, can't wait!
Though I'd honestly have loved to see the speedway go along with Toontown. Two biggest wastes of space in all of MK!

Re: Mickey' Toontown Fair
that is a good idea! lose the lawnmowers in favor of another queue-eating dark-ride! i think that is the problem with most of the new rides that have gone in over the past 10 years... changing from omnimovers to KUKA arms and individual ride cars really slows down the rides' guest absorption rate
