I love doing "Beers Around the Lake" at EPCOT, especially during F&W! I've also have found a few great places to get a good brew at the Studios (MGM). When it comes to price, well it's cheaper then you pay at a stadium!! Oh, the Look Outs, our local minor league Baseball team, has Big River beers on draft!!!
I would love to check out Big River. My husband and my dad are both beer makers and all about the craft brew. Is this place usually pretty busy?
Yea it does stay busy most of the time. I came in second in the 1996 Peach State Brew Off!! With a Still Mead of all things!
Well, maybe we'll have to make reservations just in case it is super busy!
Wow - that is pretty hard core brewing! My husband bought a new beer kit for him and my Dad to make for Christmas. I don't usually help with the making - mostly the drinking! :D

Big river is busy during most of the year from about 7 - 8. Its a tiny restaurant. Most seats are outside. However, if the weather is right, there is no place I'd rather be than sitting on the boardwalk with in the late afternoon with a nice czech pils. They don't take reservations, but just get there around 5 and you'll have no wait. Stick to simple food there too. Hamburgers are pretty good. But the other stuff is not worth the price at all.

I really want to dine in Germany's Biergarten next time :hatter_bounce: . Not sure about the food, but the atmosphere, and the beer would make up for it i'm sure :D .

I've heard pretty good things about the food recently so I think you will like all of it!

I'm sure the food is excellent, i'm just not so sure it's the kind of food I would like, you know "snausages" and such! Isn't it like a buffet though? If so, i'm not opposed to trying new things  :o .

Funny how the menu isn't much different between lunch/dinner but they charge $11 more...

Never tried beer around Epcot but I would definitely go around the world with anyone if I get the chance... WWDRH???

I do like the Samuel Adams beer flight at the Captains Crew Lounge at the YC though.

I bet the German Biergarten is a heck of a lot of fun! With the music and the beer and the brats! Sounds like a great party!!! I've been to Germany - so, at least I have something to compare it too. You can't NOT have fun in WS!

We had dinner there and loved it. The kids had a great time watching the show and performers, and the food was great. My grandparents are German, so the food was a little like my Grandmother's 'authentic' German cuisine. Part of the fun is the seating - you share long tables with other families. We were seated with a guitar player for KC and the Sunshine Band last time - he was a Disney fan with more pins than I could count - some great stories.

And the Beer Flight is great. You get four 5 oz pours. Radeberger Pilsner, Schöfferhofer Weizen, Altenmünster Oktoberfest and Hövels, or you can order any of those 4 beers in 1/2 liter or full litre.
Can't get back to WDW soon enought, but alas, no immediate plans...

Last October During the Food and Wine festival, I realy enjoyed the Japanese Beer Sapporo on draft. It was ice cold and very refreshing. I also like the 1 liter dafts at Germany's Biergarten Franziskaner and Heieweizen. They were very good. Also Last October (2010 that is). Being from New England i realy enjoyed the Sams Octoberfest on draft. I not sure what they are serving now this time of season for Sams. We are going to down there at the end of January. Hope the have Sams Old Fezziwig, Black and Brew, or Choclate Bock. :D

Where to begin, this was the best forum question I have seen! Beer what better pleasure on a hot summers day...... :mickey:

Fire Rock Pale Ale Draft from the Poly by far my favorite for the atmosphere and surroundings. I have yet to find another pub that has Fire Rock on Draft!

Safari Amber at Animal Kingdoms Flame Tree BBQ over looking everest is quite nice with the music and that area I choose is actually quiet.

The "Best Beer in WDW" is a extremely hard question to answer alot is based on your favorite type of beer there are many to choose from, during the food and wine festival WOW! One of my favorties was a Tiger Beer I believe from Morocco. Samuel Adams also makes a festival brew made especially for the festival which is always fun to try!

At Epcot thou not during the festival go to the English Pub Rose and Crown, My favorite is Half Bass and Half Boddingtons. But you can create so many combos that are outstanding in there that it would be hard to walk out of there upright haha! Enjoy a Cold one for me and I hope you found this helpful :donald:
Look for the Bear necessities!!! Trust in me, just in me Shut your eyes and trust in me You can sleep safe and sound Knowing I am around!!
