Wow... what a weird promotion!

I'm actually kinda surprised they didn't have an Everest float in the Rose Parade or something like that.

Hey guys and gals, just got back from WDW and I was able to ride EE while I was there. In fact, 3 times in 15 minutes!!! Got there early and no one was in line! It was amazing, the first time I was so surprised by the backward part. It was incredible. I did however want to take some more time going through the queue area. They had a ton of stuff to look at while you wait in line, but we kinda just ran past it.

After the last time I rode it, there was a man standing towards the control podium at the end of the ride. He said he was one of the designers of the ride and that they were load testing to see how the ride would hold up under a full day's use. He did not mention when the ride would officially be open. He did however mention that there are six different rides within the ride. He said it was different if you sat on the right or the left, as well as in the front, middle, and back. I really couldn't tell a difference, probably because I was screaming, but the back did feel a bit more intense. I have some pictures of the EE area and I will post them or a link to them when I get them back.

Oh yeah, the rest of the trip was amazing as well! :D

It's supposed to be open between now and official opening in April unless there's a need for maintenance or Imagineering wants to tinker with something. Otherwise, it should be open.

Isn't it just weekends? I keep getting mixed reports.

Exactly, day of the week doesn't matter. I haven't heard of weekend only showings at all.

Weird. I guess it's just been that it's been open every weekend, then. At least every weekend that I or a friend went. I could've sworn that I read somewhere that they were opening it for weekend visitors SOMEWHERE, though. Probably just a board rumor.

Now I've heard that they've officially shut it down until April. Anyone else heard the same thing? I was heading over there this Sunday, and now I don't know if I want to take the trek.

I heard they were doing some work on it earlier this week but not that it's shut down until April. I highly doubt it, especially with the media blitz going on.

My wife just got off the phone with Disney. They confirmed that it's now closed until April. :-(
