I think I would agree with you on that, because it really was never heavily announced.
I saw some of my old video with it operating, and the support poles along the way were actually pretty ugly going through Fantasyland. I think that may have been another reason to get rid of them. They didn't seem to fit in with the theme of Fantasyland.

If there's any consolation, there is some good footage on youtube from the attraction. But it's never the same just watching videos!

Considering the ride itself, get a big screen, a crappy plastic bench, one of those dance poles they sell as "home exercise equipment" to put right in front of you, and a fan set on low and you can have your very own simulator!

If only I had room for the set-up, I might consider it

another reason the ride was not continued: Cast Member injuries. The attendants at the station had to grab the heavy cars and swing them around manually to load and unload. A lot of expensive workers comp back injuries. (I had a friend who worked this attraction)

The smaller the room, the more realistic the experience.

I always enjoyed the ride in the sky. I did always fear running over and employee though.

I don't know if I ever went on it :? I will have to ask F1gment if she remembers way back to 1976  I don't remember it, and I don't remember going on it when I was older on subsequent trips. And it was closed before we visited with any regularity :(

I remember the SkyWay well, from the 70s and 80s (well, I'm not sure I remember so much from the 70s). It was definitely a different experience to be able to see the tarred roofs of the different ride buildings.

I didn't see any other replies- the Living Seas wasn't open at EPCOT Center's grand opening.
