As I understand also is if you stay on site, if you decide to drive instead of taking the bus, you don't have to pay to park. Has anyone heard different?

Yes, I believe if you stay at a Disney resort, or the Swan or Dolphin as well, you do not have to pay to park at the parks.

Yep. Just keep that paper they give you at check-in on your dash and you're good. Annual passholders park free too.

Won't you be staying on property when you come?

Yup, but I dunno which one is the best (I mean does the perks and the stuff in the rooms actually worth the fee) the old contemporary resort or bay lake tower.

I haven't stayed at either Bay Lake Towers or the Contemporary. I hear they are both nice. Bay Lake is the newest of the two so is probably a bit nicer. I think you would have to be a DVC member to stay at BLT, or buy points from someone who is. The Contemporary is a deluxe resort so it is going to be quite pricey per evening.
For us they wouldn't be worth the price since we don't spend much time at the resort. But they are certainly super close to the Magic Kingdom!

Are the room rates generally in Swan/Dolphin higher than contemporary?

Just doing a quick little search, it looks like the Contemporary is a little higher than the Dolphin, and the Swan is just a little more than the Dolphin. I tried to compare the rates, but the Dolphin and Swan list either Peak or Value rates, while Contemporary has many more levels. Comparing the peak rates to the fall season weekend rate gives you this for an example:
Dophin ~ $279/night
Swan ~ $299/night
Contemporary ~ $340/night
But, I would guess, most people do not pay the full price per night, especially when they purchase a package deal.
