So what does everyone think about all the sellers of buttons and maps popping up on ebay? I even saw one listing that was for the button, the commemorative map and a set of fastpasses for $150

You can ask for what ever amount you want. I'll wait till prices come down!

I began working there a few months before WDW turned 15! and THAT seemed like a long time ago back then.
Does anyone remember the parade that premiered that year?" "15 Years of Magic"
it's on youtube.

I seem to remember quite the hoodoo for DL's 50th.

It's so funny, the first time I went to WDW was during the 25th anniversary. Now here we are with the 40th behind us... time flies!!

If they still do...which I highly doubt...perhaps you could pick up a few extras?! :D

Happy belated birthday WDW!!! Can't wait to come visit ya!!!!

I hope they do more for the 50th. In addition to what mindflipper mentioned earlier, DL had a year long celebration, a regal makeover for the castle, golden ride vehicles for opening day attractions (I thought these were awesome!), and a brand new fireworks show (Remember: Dreams Come True). As well as extras for July 17th including: free cupcakes all day (people were walking out with boxes of them at the end of the night), free golden Mickey ears with "July 17, 1955" embroidered on them, vintage park maps and of course what would a Disney celebration be without merchandise. We didn't wait in the 4+ hour lines for any of that stuff.
We were there for bothe the kick off celebration (May 5th) and the actual birthday that year.

I hope there will be some big plans for WDW's 50th!

I had the same thought! But I'm guessing since it specified "on this day", it's probably just wishful thinking...
Can't wait to take my twin boys on their first trip to Walt Disney World! Planning on heading there sometime Feb-May 2014!
