Glad to see you back on the forum a little more ~ oh go ahead, have fun

I would end up having to take a photo of where we parked if I was driving. There is no way I would remember after a 12-14 hour day

Which also goes to demonstrate that people don't use the parking tickets in the way they were designed to be used.

This could be easier to find your car. I am pretty good at remembering the area and number but this year it slipped when we went to AK, we had to find security and they were able to give us a four block area just from the time we had entered the park. We found the car exactly were they said it would be.
I'm all for cutting down the search are if you are forgetful.

I think it is pretty impressive that they can help you narrow down your search just based on when you arrived!

So I read a few more things and it sounds like there was a reason behind this change that the original article didn't make clear.
Right now, one tram line (with multiple trams on it) serves the entire parking lot. So it goes down and pick up all lots on one side, then makes a u turn and picks up all lots on the other side. It sounds like the plan with this is that now there will be two separate tram lines - one for Heroes and one for Villains, which is supposed to help get people to their car faster since each tram will have fewer stops before returning to the station for more guests. I think that might help, but now you're going to have people board the wrong tram and get upset when it doesn't go to their car / trying to cross the street to get to their car.
At least it wasn't completely random, but the loss of the Mickey and friends, plus the other problems discussed are still an issue.
Can't wait to take my twin boys on their first trip to Walt Disney World! Planning on heading there sometime Feb-May 2014!

Good thing we stay on property and let Disney do the driving!!
I'm with you! I'd all but forgotten about the different names for the parking lots, since we haven't parked there since the 70s (when I was very young!).

Usually what we do is when we get to the end of our row, we take a quick pic on a cell phone of the row name and number painted on the ground. Works every time!
I kind of like the new naming... nice to see some more obscure/not as popular characters getting some recognition, even if it is in the parking lot! Wonder if this will follow suit at the other parks??

Probably not here since it would require a lot more signage be changed (there are only 6 characters for the main structure and one for the lot next to it as well as the remnants of the lion king lots, and the toystory lot).

This doesn't affect me. We normally stay on property and if we don't, I park in the Handicap parking.

I'm not a big fan of taking out the Fab 5 in the parking lots, but I normally don't use it, so it doesn't matter much I guess. I'm just glad DUFFY isn't one of them.

Hmmm, I wonder whether Duffy would be in the Villians lot or the Heroes lot?!

I don't ever park in the MK parking lot!
