New Irish Pub in DownTown Disney Orlando

Post by Blackie Pueblo » Jan Mon 09, 2006 6:27 am

I just checked out the new Irish pub in DownTown Disney. I wasn't able to eat there but it looks awesome! From the outside to the inside they did a good job! The gift shop (you knew there was gonna be one) sells a lot of nice Ireland stuff. Now if I can just try out the food and order a pint of Guiness...

We ate there as part of a tour in December. The manager was a hoot - total Irish. The food was good, but inconsistant. I think it needs a revisit.

Oh I forgot, I loved the big sign out side that read "Tonsil Ticklers". Heh...

We loved the place when we went in December. They even have Midleton Very Rare available (for $25 a single!)... I shyed away, considering the Guinness I was drinking was already like $7.50, but the band was great, and the selection of whiskey can't be beat!

Great gift shop, too. Didn't try the food, though.

Is there a site that has the menu from here? Am considering this for our trip in August.

I likewise would be thrilled to find a menu, as I have an August trip in the works......Still hard to beat Rose & Crown, for Guiness and atmosphere.....

Raglan Road is on a different level than Rose & Crown... and, it's Irish, not English.

I'd compare Raglan Road to Nine Fine Irishmen at the New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Vegas, if anyone has been there.

Let me rephrase... a little smaller than NFI... but for faux-authentic Irish atmosphere, the two compete head-to-head. Plus the live music was AWESOME.

We ate there last week and the food was very good. I had the Fish and Chips and my boy's had a burger. The best part was the live band though, they were great.

The picture of the menu is from Cookes of Dublin, which is in the same building, but not the main dining area of the Road, FYI.

Wow... great pics. I walked passed it when I was down there but didn't get a chance to look inside. Looks really nice. Hey, um, what is with the stairs leading up to that table? Do they do like some kind of dancing on the table?
