I'm sure Rapunzel is considered a Princess...Tiana is and I don't know that she had any more background than Rapunzel...
Oh good...
All I can say is one of my roommates is obsessed with Tangled so I see it all over the house.

I am going to shock everyone and say.... Rapunzel is my favorite as well. I was really impressed with Tangled and liked it a heck of a lot more than I thought I would. Prior to Tangled I would have agreed with most that Belle was the best.

I'd say Rapunzel or Belle.......also she's a princess but not in the parks, I really like Gizelle from Enchanted - she's just so sunny!

Good news for all you Rapunzel lovers ~ Rapunzel is officially joining the ranks of Disney Princesses
Beginning July 3rd, the Tangled meet & greet experience will be adjusted so the experience will focus on Rapunzel, who has become a guest favorite since her addition to the Magic Kingdom park last year. In addition, there will be an official ceremony on October 2nd at Kensington Palace in London, UK, commemorating Rapunzel's addition as an official member of the Disney Princess court. Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahontas, Snow White and Tiana are expected to be in attendance to the honor the newest Disney Princess.

That
is awesome news! I've always had a tough time deciding.... I like them all for their own special characteristics, but I have to admit to being totally smitten by Rapunzel. She's just so "real" compared to the rest. Can't wait to see how they do the CM that plays her... will they have her with the "before" hair, or the "after.."? It'd seem like it should be the "before" because that's what the whole thing revolves around, but how would they do that, I wonder? Would they put it into big braids like in the scene where she first comes to the Kingdom...? It'll be interesting to see!

Belle. Beauty and the Beast is our movie.
(though I must chime in about Rapunzel...she is such a free spirit! She is definitely a close second for me...)

Interesting question M-Dude. I would think that they would have it braided like the scene you mentioned, mostly because it would be easier for her to move around and greet guests. I would like it that way just because of my little girl. Every morning she asks mommy to make her hair like Tangled, which is her way of saying she wants it braided. *insert awwww here*

Is Rapunzel coming to WDW? I know she is already at DL right? I seem to remember some long flowing locks, but some braided, but I can't find the photo now

She is already at WDW or at least she was there in February. Long flowing locks with braids.
