We made ours for 8 during our honeymoon.. That was most awesome night ever... They shut off all the lights in the grill and pipe in the music....

You can even go out and stand on the roof.. Very romantic.. We came back to our table and our desert was waiting for us.. Those are some of the best waiters and food I have ever experienced.

I would check to see when Wishes is set to start for the evening you want to make the dinner reservation.

Here is a calendar of events:

My advice is to make the reservation at least a hour before the show. That way you can eat and have time to watch the show. :)

California grille and Wishes

My wife and I did just that on 1/18/06. Our reservation was for 6:10pm and we just finished our desert as the show started at 8:00pm. As mentioned, the show can be seen from outside (a little cold in January but well worth it!) or inside as long as you have a table with the appropriate view. When you check in on the second floor of the Contemporary make sure you ask for a table with a view or you could be placed back in the wine room (which is quieter and more intimate but offers no view of the Magic Kingdom whatsoever.) Hope this helps!!!!

If you are in the back, you can always go out and stand on the observation platform. You are usually given ample warning by the dimming of the lights, but be sure to ask your waiter for a head's up.

Whatever time Wishes is scheduled to be, shoot for 1.5 to 2 hours ahead of time and make that request when checking in, however, bear in mind that EVERYone seems to make that request and that it's purely luck of the draw to get tableside.

I might be the only person on the face of the earth to think so, but I prefer watching it from the observation deck, so I can get better pictures.
