Hmmm, I would have thought it was just something where when you stepped on the "bouncy" spot it made a noise like Tigger, like a boing, or his laugh or something. I don't think they would have springy parts surrounded by hard pavement. Wouldn't it at the very least be that sort of playground soft-textured stuff? I'm going to have to look back at my photos and see if I took any of this area. I don't think I did though since the CM's weren't being very friendly or helpful with my trying to get F1gment where we needed to goMadEye wrote:I have no clue but I'd venture to guess that the spots bounce. I don't see why they would never open it if it was something like that. And that "soft" textured stuff is very unrelenting when someone falls down (obviously not as much as cement or asphalt but still)!Amy wrote:Hmmm, I would have thought it was just something where when you stepped on the "bouncy" spot it made a noise like Tigger, like a boing, or his laugh or something. It's neat to see things change in the park but I hope they put the little movie theater back at the camera shop along with the photo ops. Still seems weird to see toon town go. Now it's just a "remember when".

Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
A quick little dumbo update... According to the sentinel, the new dumbo will open with the current one closing. The dumbos are going to spin towards each other and parallel through the center area. The old one will close and be moved once the new one is up and running.

That is good that Dumbo will continue flying. I would think that would be a sad day indeed if people weren't allowed to have their flying pachyderm fix. Interesting to hear it will be the first clockwise rotation for an attraction too. Guess I never noticed that beforeLen90 wrote:A quick little dumbo update... That is nice that they will be including Casey Jr. too. That is a cute little ride that we enjoyed at DL, although it wasn't very fun riding in the cages

I didn't even notice that there was something missing in the new Pooh queue.
So exciting to see how everything is moving along! Seeing it all coming together makes it harder to wait until 2013 though!

Look at the TLM ride at DLR's DCA that recently opened; the exterior will be different, but the interior/ride will be basically the same...masterj345 wrote:cant wait to ride the new mine train , and i hope the ariel ride is off the hook, like a next gen disney dark ride. sooo excited

I do hope they at least re-style Ariel's curly-cone hair in the one scenemindflipper wrote:Look at the TLM ride at DLR's DCA that recently opened; the exterior will be different, but the interior/ride will be basically the same...masterj345 wrote:cant wait to ride the new mine train , and i hope the ariel ride is off the hook, like a next gen disney dark ride. sooo excited

Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
I'm betting they did like when they did the Haunted Mansion: everything was built in duplicate at the time it was installed at DLR, with the duplicate set put into storage until it could be built into WDW. It was cheaper that way, so I'm betting everything you see at DLR has a duplicate sitting somewhere waiting to be installed in the WDW MK Fantasyland Expansion.

Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
But as the mine train was truely the last-minute change to the whole plan, it will be the last part of the whole expansion that will open...
Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
Wait wait wait...they haven't closed Snow White yet?? Yay!!! Will someone please post when they find out when it closes? I'm probably going the very first week in December for a big family trip and would LOVE to ride it one last time. (Well, at least one last East Coast time. lol)disneylizzy wrote:We haven't noticed anything negative all times that we've visited since construction. I'm wondering when they will close Snow White? I know they are going to, but I don't know what the timeline is on this.
