Both contestants are up to the challenge! I've opened up the contest in the game thread so as not to anger the Subsonic Tiki Gods:

(on a side note that actually pertains to the topic: you know you're a WDW nut when you hear Chubby Checker's "The Twist" on the radio and you immediately refer to him as Chubby Cheddar and start singing about exerciseThis goes for all other parodied artists/songs from that show too...)

When you've worked at Disney, have no desire to do anything non-Disney for vacation, bought Disney stock, listen to the quarterly Earnings Calls, and listen to Subsonic just about every day...

...or bought Disney stock so you could go to shareholder's meetings to watch the show and get free park tickets. How I miss those days when they alternated the annual stockholder's meetings between DLR and WDW...Vieux Carre wrote:When you've worked at Disney, have no desire to do anything non-Disney for vacation, bought Disney stock, listen to the quarterly Earnings Calls, and listen to Subsonic just about every day...

I guess I am by myself when I say that I actually *LIKE* that burning Rome smell...

Oh, it's likeable enough when you only are sniffing it for a moment inside Spaceship Earth, but I would imagine it is not so enjoyable when it is cloaking your hometown for hours and hours and days and daysfigmentaholic wrote:I guess I am by myself when I say that I actually *LIKE* that burning Rome smell...mindflipper wrote:...when you're surrounded by wildfire smog day in and day out for weeks now, and the one way to explain smelling this all the time is to say it's like being stuck on Spaceship Earth at the Fall of Rome.

I much prefer the now extinct orange scent from Horizons and flowery scent from Imagination, and the still smellable orange and pine and whatever else the third smell is from Soarin'

I would not want to be stuck with that smell all the time. After awhile it would bring on a choking sensation.

When you are skimming the headlines of the paper and read Imagination meeting, instead of Immigration meeting

I agree mindflipper. I think the rationale might be to take the Disney "magic" on the road to generate a marketing benefit from it. Curious to know the actual reason.mindflipper wrote:...or bought Disney stock so you could go to shareholder's meetings to watch the show and get free park tickets. Does this qualify me as a WDW nut? Luckily this was when I was a little more organized so I can confidently state this is from October of 1993.

When you know exactly where you are going in very hard rain and the "tourists" (no offense) park on the side of the road to wait it out. Seriously, it was so bad yesterday I had to go 30mph on World Drive and Epcot Center Drive (50mph zone).

Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

My bedroom is decorated like Old Key West and my office is filled with all things Disney.

...but at least when they did it at the resorts they were generating revenue for the hotels. DLR may have had problems with it in the past, but WDW was more than able to handle the crowds. The last time I went to one at WDW, the live auditorium was at the contemporary, with overflow auditoriums at contemporary and the Polynesian. Those shareholders were staying on Disney property, spending money at Disney restaurants, buying Disney souvenirs...to me, it already had its own built-in marketing.Vieux Carre wrote:I agree mindflipper.
