Free Dining or Other Discounts Past September
Do you think Disney will offer free dining or another major discounts past September this year?

Gosh I sure hope so. Sounding like we need to hope for room discounts since we have AP and won't qualify for the free diningrphillips14 wrote:Do you think Disney will offer free dining or another major discounts past September this year?

They did it last year, but left it up to the last minute (August?) to announce.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

I'm hoping there will be some sort of good deal out there, and that they announce it a bit sooner than August...

I would keep checking mousesavers.com for the latest savings and deals as well as disneyworld.com's special offers. Right now everything is up to either 9/24 or 10/1 so it might happen later on.

I think one of the reasons they waited late until August is that they wanted to see how well the parks performed during the summer before deciding if they need to continue certain discounts or offer a new discount.

It has more to do with capacity then anything else. Disney wants to try and maintain a certain level of attendance at the parks and achieve a certain percentage of rooms on property occupied. If they see promising signs from advanced bookings then they will not offer any discounts. However if they a low number of bookings then the discounts will start rolling out.mindflipper wrote:I think one of the reasons they waited late until August is that they wanted to see how well the parks performed during the summer before deciding if they need to continue certain discounts or offer a new discount.

yeah...Free Dining is all about getting guests to stay in their resorts...at rack rates
It also gets people to eat onsite and in non-MK parks they might drink alcohol...not covered by the DDP...and keeps you in the parks longer and you might even buy merchandise.
We used to do this in college all the time when we wanted people to attend events...tell them there is free food if they show up. It's genius.

If you can get free dining that would be awesome.
