Brazil coming to EPCOT? Unconfirmed reports

Equitorial Africa got dropped in favor of the Animal Kingdom.

Well that hardly seems fair. Asia is represented in the World Showcase and Animal Kingdom. Besides, Animal Kingdom celebrates the animals and World Showcase is about the people. (and the food )

People, culture and environment. Africa has quite unique animal wildlife. It could be because as they developed Africa for EPCOT WS they realized they had no effective way to cover it in such as a small space and decided to develop it into a much larger area as part of the animal kingdom.

There is plenty of space in World Showcase that they could put a new land. Just think of all of the unused space...or space that is being used but not for a particular land...I think Brazil would be a great addition...there is def a lack of South American presence...or how about India?

Hmm India would be nice but I am afraid people would think it would too close to Morocco.

Though I could see 'mericans thinking that, or hating the pavillion because of outsourcing.

True, though that doesnt make it true, hehe. I haven't been to Morocco, but I have been to India, and it was pretty neat.



But if you guys listen to the Inside the Magic podcast, he talks about the Brazil rumor and there are some things that kind of point to it maybe being more than a rumor, it was pretty interesting...

After all those years of it bouncing around it finally stalled out. Russia as a pavilion is dead.

They opened the last pavilion - Morocco - without any attraction in it...

Yeah, but unless it's 1985 (holy crap did the time machine work? ) then that doesn't count as today.

I would guess they would want to build the country with a ride. I hear people complaining throughout the various world showcase countries that do not have rides built in. Unfortunately most people don't care about the film showcasing the country, they want a thrill ride!

Okay, how about the Millenium Pavilion they had in 2000? No thrill ride attached to that either...

That was a temporary event rather than something built for a single host country to last 30+ years. It actually doesn't have to be a thrill ride, just impressive, as they are not always mutually inclusive.

Temporary, but still there..and closed...like Wonders of Life Pavilion...

Well, you can't expect them to spend money to remove it if there is nothing planned for the immediate. Since it won't hurt anything to just leave it there (in the sense nothing is going to explode or collapse on a worker/guest) they just leave everything where it was unless they want to harvest parts off of it for something else.

that is what I was wondering too? I just don't see where they have the space, unless they clear out all that space where the drums and food.drink vendor is and that African store after Mexico.
