LECELLIER AS 2-TABLE SERVICE
I was so disappointed to learn that LeCellier's was becoming a two table service restaurant this year. Although it is one of my favorites and I can't imagine going to WDW and NOT eating there, I had already planned two other two-table service meals (Hoop dee doo and Cinderella's Royal Table) so we decided to skip it this year. The place is great but does anyone agree that it should be a 2-table service restaurant? I feel that Disney is getting a little carried away with this decision.

It is still only 1 credit for lunch.
I know they did it because of the high demand, so I think having it as 2 credits makes sense.

Can't wait to take my twin boys on their first trip to Walt Disney World! Planning on heading there sometime Feb-May 2014!

They probably noticed that people who wanted to spend more money (presumably you spend less with a dining plan?) were being turned away so they either have to thin the herd out or make the dining plan people pay more.

We actually had an interesting thread about this. It can be found over here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=6320&hilit=Signature
Le Cellier recently transformed into a signature restaurant for dinner. The menu did change as Disney had to up it a bit for the signature status. I haven't really read any reviews about the restaurant since the change over for dinner took place.

I also heard that the menu was expanded and it sounds pretty tasty. However, it did not sound too Canadian, but then again I don't know much, if anything about Canada.
Also, with the price hike on the dining plan, just pay for the dinner out of pocket. Seems like money well spent to me. Even if I had free dining, I'd pay extra for the experience.

Good point. I get the dining plan each trip so I feel spoiled about paying out of pocket for meals, but LeCellier would be worth it!BuDz211 wrote:Also, with the price hike on the dining plan, just pay for the dinner out of pocket. Honestly, you can probably go to any of the resort/disney-owned places that have been open longer than 3 months and everything will be in peak condition. Is there any disney operated table service place that has horrible food at WDW?

I am hoping this new policy will free up more availability for us non-dining plan guests.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.
