Re: favorite restaurant in the "World"
Not sure it would be my favorite, but I would like to share a first trip to the Wave.
It was lovely and we plan to go back.
Lunch was not busy, service was just right (aware of us but not crowding us), menu had lots of choices,
and our salads were served crisp and cold and fresh.
And those little dessert samplers that I was sure would be tiny and unsatisfying were perfect.
Of course I could have eaten a full portion of any one of them, but this way I had a most ample sample of
the Boston Cream, the Bourbon Pecan, and the Key Lime. And the key lime was NOT green which was very
reassuring. All were delicious.
We plan to try breakfast next time too.

Mmm, sounds like you had a good experience! I like your description of "ample sample"kcookiebaker wrote:Not sure it would be my favorite, but I would like to share a first trip to the Wave.

Where is the Wave located in WDW? Did you take any photos you would like to share?!

My kids love T-Rex. We can't go to Disney world and not go there.
Re: favorite restaurant in the "World"
It's the new restaurant in the Contemporary. It replaced the Concourse Steakhouse.Amy wrote: Where is the Wave located in WDW?

Tie between Rose and Crown in the UK and Biergarten in Germany.
But then again, any of the Epcot restaurants are fantastic. Those two are at the top of my list though.

Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe!
I think this is my favorite restaurant throughout the 'World. I know it doesn't have the most delicious food (that goes to Nine Dragons at EPCOT in the China pavilion), however with the fixin bar you can make such an awesome burger. Yum. But what really makes it the best restaurant (for me) is its theme. I love Tomorrowland, and at night (when the lights come on) it becomes such a gorgeous place. And if you're lucky enough you could sit in the back and have a spectacular view at the castle. Such a wonderful atmosphere it has. Plus it has Sonny Eclipse, come on!

Well when it comes to character meals, my favorite is the Crystal Palace in the MK.
For dinner it would have to be Le Cellier in Epcot... OMG Cheddar Cheese soup.
For lunch or a snack I LOVE Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe in the MK, but it is for the entertainment as much as (if not more than?) the food.

I agree, I love Cosmic Rays for the entertainment and the food. Plus I just went there for the first time in a while, I feel like they've really expanded the menu too.Space Traveler wrote:Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe!

Cosmic Rays is also great for the view of the castle from the patio at night. It's a perfect spot to watch it change colour.leblanan wrote:I agree, I love Cosmic Rays for the entertainment and the food. Good report. We may have to try this on our May trip - and it was not on our radar.kcookiebaker wrote:Not sure it would be my favorite, but I would like to share a first trip to the Wave.

After years of saying I was not going to eat in Germany because the smell of sauerkraut turns my stomach Joe finally talked me into it this last trip.laurie5658 wrote:Biergarten!
Once I got over the fact you have to share a table with complete strangers I really enjoyed the whole experience. The waitress was typically German in that we had a wonky table and she would not settle herself until that thing did not move, this involved much hilarity between her and myself and ended up with both of us under the table deciding which side was doing the rocking and packing the other side until it no longer moved. The Oompah band was great and the other company at the table was really good.
This one is a keeper and you can be sure we will back again. Just a side note there is no smell of sauerkraut inside the building they must pipe that outside weird or what?

You might have changed my mind about eating at Germany on our next trip. I can't stand the sauerkraut smell but if you say it doesn't smell inside, I might be inclined to try it. I know my Mom would very much enjoy eating there and enjoying the band.Sleepy90 wrote:After years of saying I was not going to eat in Germany because the smell of sauerkraut turns my stomach Joe finally talked me into it this last trip.laurie5658 wrote:Biergarten!

Re: favorite restaurant in the "World"
I took my 18 year old cousin to EPCOT for first time as a HS graduation present and we ate at Germany. The people at the table thought he was my son and not my cousin (he has a boyish face and looked more like 14-15 years old than 18) and I would have ran with that as a gag if it wasn't for he was too honest (bless him!) and immediately set the record straight. So much fun could have been had...oh well....Sleepy90 wrote:After years of saying I was not going to eat in Germany because the smell of sauerkraut turns my stomach Joe finally talked me into it this last trip.laurie5658 wrote:Biergarten!

However, the food was good surprisingly. I didn't want to go at first, but I would have no problem going back again some day...
